Well, we shouldn't have to wait too long I'm sure. As I pointed out the other day, there were people on here after just 2 matches this season saying the job was too big for Wilder. The same type of folks will be out again in good numbers, early on next season, if we lose a couple of games and get off to a bad start. You cannot legislate for them - you just have to accept that they react that way due to nothing whatsoever relating to football or Sheffield United. They can't help it - they are damaged and see the world negatively all the time. Just don't let them become the majority please - because they have the capability to make others feel bad and take them with them.
We will do well next season I am certain of that. And the reason why I'm certain of it is the type of players we've got and the kind of football we play will in many ways be better suited to the Championship than this league. You do get a bit more time on the ball in the Championship and it's more of a passing game, rather than the up and at 'em blood and thunder of League 1. The grounds are better too, with better pitches. The downside is, make a mistake at that level and you probably won't get away with it. Players are of a higher quality and mistakes are punished.
Even with the current squad I believe we could hold our own. I think if Wilder is given funds to strengthen then we could easily be pushing on for a top 6 finish.
Then again...I do have a positive outlook on life.
