I've never seen two players as shit as Sammon and Hammond, how we got them both in the same team is mind boggling. Sammon has got the best agent in world football, he's still finding him clubs even now.

Sammon's technique of attempting to jump to head the ball seemed to involved kind of crouching over as if he was inspecting his own bellybutton.

It's a comparison today's football compared with yester year and where it's heading.Its in one way been a real eye opener having no crowd in because you can hear the players and the perthetic screams this game once played be real men has turned into overpaid prema donnas rolling around then when the balls played to them up they get off and running again.For the first time last night I turned over and watched the snooker there was more contact and less screaming

Totally agree with you about the screaming and prima donna behaviour from some players. And they're grossly overpaid. However, given a level playing field (sorry about the pun), I don't believe that a 3rd and 4th division team from the early 80's would beat the current team. As shambolic as this season has been, this team beat two 3rd tier and one 2nd tier teams in the cup without too much grief. I just don't think comparing sides from different eras is useful or helpful because the game has changed so much over time. Everything has.
As for the snooker (which I love), yes it was great and funny when loads of them boozed their way through matches, but no-one in their right mind would think that Bill Werbeniuk would beat even an under par Mark Selby, for example.

As l've said, uninformed rubbish. There's a disclosure requirement in the accounts for related party transactions.

As for the "tax losses" comment, that's the go too reasoning for every Internet finance "expert". Instead of calling people naive why not go into a bit of detail and explain how United's tax losses could be utilised.

I've watched dozens of Championship games this season, and can honestly say that aside from Norwich, and Brentford on their day (albeit with a soft centre), there's very little to choose between any of them. Very few teams can actually keep the ball for more than 3 passes before a punt forward in the hope of winning the second ball. Even some of the better teams like Swansea, Reading and Cardiff are appalling.
Most of our squad played very well in the Championship last time around, and with some sensible departures and arrivals we should finish in the top 3.

Lets not forget that in the FA cup we more than matched Chelsea in the 2nd half
and they may win the Euro cup

so who thinks we are worse than rotherham derby huddersfield luton birmingham forest coventry, ill not add wednesday as some of our supporters think they they are still too good to go down
all have struggled against mediocre teams
if we sell berge mburnie and a few others we will on figures quoted raise 50 or 60 million plus 40m parachute
100m in the championship goes a long long way
contrary to some peoples beliefs , we will have a new manager
and there are some just as capable as Wilder

I dont think we will struggle as its a different much lower level of competition
we have a 100 per cent win ratio over championship teams this season too

Ninety five per cent of the current championship teams are mediocre to shocking,one of them has even got to the play offs,how Reading got pushed out by them says a lot about their set up as well.The 3 who come up look mediocre at best,so that leaves Fulham who will have to build a virtually new team,and probably a new manager,and WBA,who may stick with Sam,who will probably recruit well enough to get them automatic.
If we get it right with manager apppointment/player incoming and outgoings for next season,play offs are minimum,getting it wrong IMO will be a worse clock up than what happened this season,it's a poor division,and will be worse next season.
