Thought we had the three best chances to be honest with Scougall's goal and the 2 Baxter missed. (The second one came from a fantastic move I didn't think i'd ever see a United team produce!)

Tel Kennedy came on at Centre Half but we seemed to keep Hill in there too and go with a 5, in order to combat their big long balls up to Smith and McLeod. Don't actually think Kennedy touched the ball at all in the 15minutes he was on, can't even remember him going up for a header.

Special mention for both Doyle and Collins today, I must admit i've been critical of both in the past but they both led by example today and although everyone played well and were disciplined, these two really shone.

I didnt go to today's game and am surprised to read that MK Dons played the long ball today

Just heard Cloughy's interview. He thought it was CC's best all round performance for the club.
:)

Yeah as I said, thought he'd seemed quiet from the radio comms. I'll take Cloughs word over the RS guy!

Other than 15 minutes of sustained pressure at the end, I thought we were always in control of the game. We created some great chances, with everyone getting involved, and had one of those gone in, we would have been a lot more comfortable. That said, the defence more than coped with what MK had to throw at us at the end, which was particularly pleasing given the changes made. Thought that was largely down to Collins who was the best player on the pitch. I only remember one header from McLeod(?) late on which was a big chance for them.

Doyle put in a proper captains performance I thought, marshalling those in front of him, while Howard did the same to his defence. Can't really criticise anyone and it would be difficult to rate anyone below 6.5/10. Good away performance, decent day considering the location and 3 more points in the bag. It's a good time to be a blade

Great win yesterday.

Really didn't expect that considering recent visits and especially because of the injuries picked up during the game.

I've only seen the highlights but if that's a quiet game for Coady it shows how much he's pushed on, he helped make the goal and tore through them again to set up that Baxter chance.

http://www.innonthelake.biz this is the closest pub and you should be able to leave the car in the car park, it's a 10 minute walk to the stadium around the lake, there should be people to follow, fenny is a bit further and a £5 ish taxi.if you are near the train station go to weatherspoons and you can get bills coach for a couple of quid it looks like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/wanderer30/12256327184/
Thanks Paul...parking at Inn on the Lake was good and an easy walk...

A good summary...Coady worked tirelessly,Scougall is just fab, took his goal with calm confidence,Baxter should have scored but played well....to lose Murphy and Brayford,as well as starting without Maguire, was a blow but the team played well,as a team.some of our play was great to watch...not seen stuff like that for a long time( and on a crap pitch)...great job done on the day..Davies also looks good, nearly scored from a free-kick...

Just watched the highlights back and Scougs took his goal even better than I remember. Clough's January dealings are proving to be nothing short of genius

Kennedy played in the middle of the back five, with Collins and Hill to the side of him. He was involved in one aerial challenge which he won easily, leaped above a taller opponent. There was another couple of touches from him, but he didn't have to do much.

Personally I'm worried by the loss of Murphy. I think we are kidding ourselves if we think we can put Baxter out on the left, Porter up front and think we can keep looking as dangerous as we have.

Thanks for that Bergen, a better memory than me! Though I did spend the last 2 or 3 MK set pieces looking at the floor..

Agree about Murphy, he's been terrific in the last few weeks and our most dangerous player by some distance. Despite the obvious problems losing Brayford's going to create I think losing Jamie would be a massive boost for both Peterborough tomorrow and Charlton sunday.
