New leader Terry Fox is a Blade.
Just reported on Radio Sheffield that Shirecliffe development on hold whilst new sites are being looked at. Begs the question why they went to all the trouble of getting permission for Shirecliffe to announce 8 months later that new sites were being investigated.
Does seem an odd one.
Also means that new facilities are basically years away

It does seem dumb to me to upgrade Shirecliffe and then do it all again at Norton, may as well just do it right first time at Norton and have everything on one site.

Think there’s has been in the pipeline for a while certainly pre prince but breaking ground at a new site will be crucial for us going forward.

Have you ever thought we might be having two training grounds ? The first team at Norton and the Shirecliffe one for the rest.
Probably been told the one at Norton will take 5 years as they have found some underground bunkers that need investigating or something like that....

It'd be the other way round from what the club has said, at least for a while.
Norton is for everyone, but the first team would be the last to move over, because everyone else will be the guinea pigs.
Can't have the first team training suspended for 3 weeks because a sinkhole opened up in the indoor training building etc

Pretty sure the original plans were for the first ream to be at Norton and shirecliffe for the kids
If that is the plan why not continue with Shirecliffe and when/if Norton is completed the first team move there and the others remain at Shirecliffe.

I don’t really know but two sites does seem illogical IMO. I think it’s important to have all teams 18 and above at least under one roof. So maybe they’re looking at bigger sites which accommodates everyone, if this is the case then it makes sense to put the breaks on shirecliffe doesn’t it? Just a waste of money
