He hasn’t a great track record that’s for certain, Baldrick has a greater success rate!

Joking apart it’s not likely that either is completely without blame. Maybe the prince is trying to welch on the deal, maybe McCabe is trying to pull a fast one, don’t know and truly don’t care too much I just want it to be over and us move on. I think that McCabe is delusional if he thinks that he has the support of the majority of Blades fans in what he is doing though. If he was looking for a legacy for his reign this ain’t what he should be looking for. If he somehow manages to wrestle back control can you see him being cheered from the four corners as he takes the fans’ acclaim in the centre circle?
I don't think there is a hope in hell that he can wrestle back control, but I suspect he thinks he still can. It was clear from interviews he's given that he didn't accept the court ruling.

The only people suggesting we'll have to leave is the club - and they haven't actually said that.

Actually, the first suggestion of this was from Team McCabe in court – essentially suggesting that it was part of the big evil plot of what would happen if that guy not from around here was to win the case. I’m pretty sure that was also deliberately suggested for maximum outrage at the time.

Yes, true, and the Prince has since categorically stated he wants to stay at the Lane. I think both sides know how much this triggers the fans and use it. Just put some sort of legal covenant into the deeds, or however you can do it, to secure the future and put everybody's minds to rest.

Sheffield United responded to McCabes statement with their own version of events v quickly.
One can only assume that the McCabe PR machine would have countered the Sufc claim v quickly if it was inaccurate.
Draw your own conclusions but I would hazard a guess that Sufc version of events to be quite accurate.
Either way I support SUFC and am subsequently against anything that in any way, can or will be to it’s detriment.

The Prince needs Tutton to make a statement on McCabes behalf.

Makes you wonder if the powers that be were really scoping out Norton for a new academy or in fact a whole new stadium 🤔

Just spin the Lane round...plenty of space on the Car Park...

It won't come to any of that McCabe just wants more money. Arbitration will sort it. If Kev is so steadfast on keeping that bit behind the Kop and Boundary corner just to spite HRH then he, his sons and grandsons may aswell give up on supporting United or ever coming to Sheffield again as they would be absolute hate figures.

Not sure it will come to that...a few poxy student flats (no one of any wealth/affluence is going to want to live next to a footy ground with the traffic/house etc) that will generate money but not a huge amount and would be tatty and worthless in 5-10 years surely is not worth it for McCabe.

He has always been motivated by money and always will. He'll get more money and sod off but what a sad way to be remembered...a bitter, old man clinging onto the end.

If it's a business thing fine but why say you are going to build stuff in the corners ofvthe ground when you know that is going to just obstruct the football club you love. No bigger Blade my arse.

I am sure it will get sorted. Not even down to McCabe or HRH if it goes to Arbitration as even the Scarborough website details. The only misty bit is these pieces of land. Surely HRH would have done did diligence to make sure they are part of any acquisition? Judging by McCabe and cos shambles in court last time I am quite confident that our current owner will have all bases covered.
I wish I could share your optimism.

Still think Norfolk Park playing fields would be an ideal location for a new stadium, buy goals and have a whole training complex opposite the ground too.

Surely as BDTBL is "the oldest continuous sports stadium in the World", its entitled to listed building or world heritage site status. Thus any parcel of land cannot be split up, any sale therefore has to for the whole site.

Let’s hope it doesn't come to it but after the statement today from the club and Kevin McCabes intention to build on the land behind the Kop forces us out of the Lane what do you want from a new stadium.?

What I don’t want is a generic soulless bowl as per Leicester, Reading, Southampton or an horrific multi sports abomination like West Ham..

I would prefer a smaller scale version along the lines of what Liverpool were once planning at Stanley Park... see below.. they were planning 60k but we would not need that, a 35-40k version should do us, I would want a Kop end bassicaly.

Methinks you are jumping the gun a little? But if you insist, then I'd go for a very simple design. Like this...

plan B rebuild the Bramall lane stand into our new kop
and reduce the size of the old kop and give it to the away fans
and a up yours to Mr McCabe

McCabe seems hell bent on making himself the most hated bloke in the history of Sheffield United

The problem with all of McCabe's developments is that they don't possess any long term value.
For instance, the car park behind the South Stand, how has that leveraged its real value over the last 40 or 50 years? Its the same with the "not luxury" kop flats and indeed the hotel with a bar. There has an improper use of the available land.

I suggest this:

1. Behind the South Stand rebuild the Cricket Pavilion as an architectural and "heritage feature" of what will be the new away end.
2. Pull down the South Stand and the hotel.
3. Turn the pitch around and reposition.
4. Extend the kop with temporary seating towards the new "pavilion end".
5. Given that it is the oldest: first of all knock down the Bramall Lane stand, get rid of the hotel and business centre and rebuild.
6. Rebuild John Street stand as the new Kop (with the traditional hill access).
7. Rebuild old kop.
8. Improve bogs, pies and beer.
9. Fill in the corners as required.
10. Add gyms, social clubs, cheese bars, breweries, wine bars and general executive rip off.

That's not his intention. He is like a scorned lover, that's all!

He thought he was the undisputed, much-loved, biggest Blade of all. But he isn't. He's been a massive improvement on most of what went before, but that doesn't make him our saviour, which is how he'd like to be thought of.

Lets install bat boxes, that will stump them.

I'm not old enough to remember what came before, but if he forces us out of the lane that must top everything surely?

Again, who has said he is forcing us out of the Lane? How? By building flats that were part of the plans that kept us at the Lane with an enlarged kop?

He had stated that he is in discussions with Sheffield city council about increasing the density of properties on the Bdtbl footprint. The only way to do that is to knock down the stadium as he has planning permission for the only other areas, although he may want to build on the car park,
Nah he would not do that he is a blade.

apologies spelt blade wrong, please insert whichever letters in whichever order you consider appropriate

Would “Shoreham Boys” have to be retired as a result? I‘m not overly keen on the idea of rotating the stadium either, but that seems altogether less odd than having away fans having the easiest access to Man Fryday’s.
Bramall Lane boys we are here......same ring to it😊

Build the flats before the kop extension and the kop will have to close.
