Just had a look at fulhams signings...theyve spent more than £100 million this season! Scary stuff. Seriously guys i just want united to bring quqlity 5o the club so we can stay up. Think best bet is free transfers...... denilson is on a free also... only 31

IF we get to the prem this season then I would keep all of the current first 18 and add around 6 or 7 new and improved players that fit with the CWAK ethos.

This would give us a stronger team without ripping the heart and soul out of what he have built these last 3 seasons.

Some of our current players will be strong enough to back up the first team 11 IF we were to do it this coming Satdi.

I'd have Gary Cahill if we could get him, think Nathaniel clyne on loan would be worth a shout, maybe a bit unrealistic but I would look at mitrovic, scored quite a few goals for a very poor Fulham side this season

I think we'll go down the route of signing good championship players like how we signed good league 1 players when we reached the championship. A few names I'd consider are:

Callum Robinson
Oliver mcburnie
Ben Davies
Sean Maguire
Luke Freeman
Ebereche Eze
Jackson Irvine
Fraser Campbell
Barry Bannan
Dominic Iorfa
Ryan Woods
Sam Vokes
Tyler Roberts
Jack Clark
Lloyd Kelly
Luca connell
Che Adams
Ollie watkiWa
Marcelo Jota
Jonathan kodjia

Loads more out there that could improve our squad too.

There is little to no comparison between Smith and Brooks. Anyone who saw Brooks in his early cameos and the Toulon tournament would have been able to tell you that he was a a special player. Perhaps few predicted he'd be making an impact at PL level this soon, but his talent has always been evident.

The same can't be said about Smith, he's a good young player and he's got a decent chance making it as a pro, but he's nowhere near the required standard to be playing in the championship, let alone the PL. He's made 13 apps for Doncaster and scored 2 goals - I'm pleased for him, but it's not a record that implies he's ready for the top flight.

Can't see him leaving (arguably) the best team in the country for a newly promoted team, who will probabaly only be able to offer him a 10th of his current salary. Especially when he's probabaly got another 2 or 3 years in him to play at the highest level (Champions league).

I’m not saying he’s gonna start, but I think he could do similar to what Che Adams did in certain games when he first came to United, bit of pace good finisher might catch a few out and yes still very young in terms of experience..

Be perfect for the cups, which should be squad player games (again with caution) next season, priorities should be staying up..

I've been saying this for about a month, about a week after I started his agent fired into action and said Everton, West ham and China (!) were after him. My point here is, 'express an interest' it'd be galling if he ended up signing for Burnley when I'm sure we could trump that even if it was just to take him for a season before he moved on.

Oh the lad's 28 years old and got plenty of time left at the top of English football, but imagine if we can establish ourselves as a Premier League team over the next few years then it may happen. How great would that be

Che Adams joined us in league 1. The gulf between L1 and the PL is huge.

I don't see how you can say he should be a squad player and we should prioritise staying up - to me the two are mutually exclusive.

Have you seen him play btw? He's not really comparable to Adams, at least in my opinion.

One step at a time mate. It would be good, but let's stay up 1st - better yet; let's get up 1st.
 
I think another market to consider is loans that weren't previously available to us. It's not unfeasible that chelsea will want the likes of mount, Abraham, James etc to have a season in the prem. Same goes for Harry Wilson.
 
impossible to predict young players, you only know when they play with better players. Bissaka of Palace only played for the youth team, then aged 20 he was given a go during injury crisis(3rd in the pecking order at RB) and did ok.Been at Palace 10 years, never on loan.
Harrison Reed 17 games in the premier aged 18, looked so good at the start for sotton in a 3-0 win vs everton he was the future, now playing championship on loan.
Hard to predict who adapts.

If that’s a list of signings for the Championship then it’s a good one. From that lot I can only say two might (might) be able to step up to the Premier League if we get there and I’m surmising from your opening paragraph that you’re suggesting these players for the next level.

If we do go up we will have to set our sights so much higher.

Exacly what i meant when i started this thread. Any one watching the man united vs city game? Notice the difference in quality, blades are gona have to get quality in its no joke in this league. Johan jourou. Garry cahill. Artur burock. Obafemi martins. Ibrahim affelay. Chris samba. Younis kaboul. Denilson. Nasri. All these players are available on free transfers and theres loads more. I hope wilder really knows what hes doing we are about to find out.
