New Shirt

You sure we played in white at Brentford? They've got a plain white back which would surely cause a colour clash

With the Macron sale now on in the club shop I assume we have reached the end of the "seven figure, four year deal" quoted in the article below.

Good times, the Macron stuff has been second only to the Patrick stuff in terms of general shiteness.

Umbro, Nike or Hobott please.

Why can't United follow York City's example? They are swapping earlier York shirts with new ones which bear the new sponsor's details free of charge. FAT Chance!!!!!

Perhaps one united shirt in exchange for 10 Wednesday shirts might catch on though

Can you explain this a bit better Hodgy? It sounds interesting although i'm not sure i understand you properly.

Are they bringing out old shirts with new sponsors?

York City have a new sponsor ( a mid-season change) and they wish to have the new sponsor's name on the players , and supporters shirts. As the supporters have already bought new shirts this season, the club are exchanging them, free of charge, to have the new sponsor's name on the shirts.

No need for us to do that the sponsors transfer falls off itself after 3 months leaving a nice space to stick the new transfer. :D

I just keep buying them; can't help myself. Already having all three of this season's shirts, I was short of something to buy, but then before the Coventry game I noticed that the goalkeeper shirts were reduced to £25, so I got the bright yellow one, partially with a view to it becoming useful if I ever dust of the old thumb and end up hitching in the dead of night again.

The shirt made its debut on Saturday (alas, not in a hitchhiking role, just as a fashion accessory), and its brightness made me visible on the Football League Show as I celebrated Kitson's goal in a very reserved manner.

Personally, if the deal is up, I would approach umbro. Nike are hiving off most of umbro's current clubs, following the disposal of the business, so I suspect umbro will be starting again from teh ground up in England. Clubs like us, Leeds, even teh Pork would be ideal opportunities to link up and sell lots of shirts. Their designs are simple and clean and although they don't have teh street cred of a Nike, adidas or Puma we would have a kit that is ours rather than a consistently used template with the colours changed.
