They can't do anything at the moment as they don't own the club.

Yet there's posters on here slagging them off already, despite not knowing who they are, and the fact they don't own us yet.

We've not actually had a good game yet but we're undefeated.

Far from ideal that we're between 2-5 players short in the squad. But on the plus side, it'll give the youngsters ample opportunities to shine. I think this is a silver lining personally.

Is this a sign that everything was sorted with the new owners as contracts were getting crossed so we weren’t able to make signing, or have the owners so keep quiet, we aren’t spending anything until we have our knees under the table.

Either way this team is not top 6, we’re looking at 6-10, if we can get to around 8-10 for that Jan window and push on to the top 6b then great.

Been through most forums and they're in general looking at our squad with envy. The amount of injuries we've had past seasons may turn to the better. 8-10 players out for periods wont last. Only Tom Davies not fit currently is a wast improvement. By october we should have settled as a team. I both hope and think it'll be a season to enjoy. This team is going to entertain us,if it'll take us up ? who knows, the most important is to support and enjoy. UTB

Regards this window, at least we’ve focused more on quality than quantity, which is a refreshing change. Our 1st 11 is an exciting prospect, looking forward to seeing them.

This window is NOT on the new owners. We are still owned by Prince A for now. Anyway I’m ok with business. Kept, Hamer, Arblaster, Anel and recruited O’Hare, Cooper, O’Hare, Moore & Souttar who will be great at this level. For me not a top 2 squad, but I expect top 6. If not new owners (if it happens) will make a change at the top & maybe recruit a little in January.

The only way the lack of later incomings makes any sense is that the new lot aren't having Wilder at all and will be moving him on sharpish so don't see the benefit in him piling in any more new bodies.

That would still be a dumb approach, but short of that I can't see any logic to the state of affairs at the top of the pitch.

I am wondering if we have used the position the takeover has reached to help keep our players. Telling clubs we can't do business on certain players or making price so high they won't go that high, and telling those players we can't sell them even if they wanted to go or we risk point deductions possibly
Would be hard for the EFL to believe the new potential owners were not involved if we sold our big players or made any big signings.

A wage bill that needed reducing as soon as we got relegated as we wouldn't have been able to sustain it in the Championship, particularly when the parachute payments are wrapped up in the hotel, purchase of land x2, the fan zone and the new training facility.

Any money saved on those that left didn't help fund all of the new signings. A lot was retained for the remaining wage bill.

As for the money coming in, I've covered that on a thread elsewhere. It won't/hasn't stretched as far as you might think it has, particularly as we don't get it as a lump sum.
