Struggling to see how Sharp would fit into our current set up. We've been making do with Baxter up front but his lack of height and pace has made us quite easy to defend against - Sharp would work harder but wouldn't rectify the main problems. I also don't think we've making been making but missing loads and loads of chances.

I'd rather see us sign a striker who is more of a handful for defenders and will allow the likes of Scougall, Baxter, Murphy and Flynn to play off him. Someone tall, strong, quick with a good touch who can finish - should be loads of those knocking about in L1!

My guess would be that NC wants 2/3 different types of strikers...

I think that too. I think we'll be looking at another Murphy type, Clarke from Crawley as an example, a poacher and target man.

I think common sense that we cant go out and sign 3 strikers who all have the same attributes.

Think the 3 types you describe are pretty much spot on. Gives us options and all 3 will compliment the midfielders we have.

I don't want another attack of Knowsnowt and co, cant be arsed with the "smells of pork brigade" so I think il just leave it as it is pal. Time will tell mate. Theres a chap on BM who seems to believe there's a meeting next week, and Iv no reason not to believe him ;-)

Even if we do get billy in,i'd still say we want another 2 strikers in,just incase the same thing happens as last time he was here.Not saying its going to by the way ,but you never know
