Im waiting for an oil rich sheik with a fondness for pulp & hendersons relish to come to the rescue.
I have a richness of solidified oil around my waist, have those fondness for pulp & Hendo's, .......... But no money.

They've hardly got big money if McCabe has had to take the ground out the equation in order for them to afford to buy us!!!

New owners? I'm playing my bullshit card.

Plus if KM really wanted out so desperately he could have already sold up to individuals identified by Birch who weren't considered the right people by KM.

I'm certain he wants to spread the risk/cost with another wealthy individual but I don't believe he wants out.

are you aware who this individual is Bob, or if one has been identified?

No mate, I don't know anything about large scale investment. I just know BB knows less than me.

Too true.

I gather Forest fans are having second thoughts about their new owner - and his hollow promises.

Talking to a Forest fan earlier, about the Kuwaiti's in charge.

Asked him about the manager of substance and proven track pedigree they wanted. He couldn't speak highly enough about O'Driscoll

Asked him about new signings, and he said that the best thing about the Kuwaiti's is that they won't be held at ransom

Already made a couple of alarm bells ring for me.

What have they said, Europe in 5 years or something?

I quote from Joe Bernstein, writing in the Mail on Sunday:

"Nottingham Forest's new Kuwait owners plan to use the club as a gateway for young players from the Middle East.
Sean O'Driscoll, appointed manager on Thursday, will concentrate on coaching while the Al-Hasawi family take control of all transfer policy. That will include bringing in players from Kuwait and the UAE for budget transfer fees and wages, news that will raise further alarm bells with Forest fans.
The new owners, who sacked Steve Cotterill straight after the takeover, promised an 'iconic' manager to replace him. They got Crawley boss O'Driscoll."

[I would have thought there would be problems with work permits for young players on 'budget' wages from the Middle East.]

Not very good is it when one man can do as he pleases with a football club be it good or bad ;) Still Forest fans need not worry too much, we are still waiting for all this young talent to come from China, Hungary, Belgium and Brazil so I can't see them being swamped with sub standard Kuwaitis.
