New kit

It reminds me of the black Desun sponsored shirt from a few years ago, and that was awful too. Plus, and this is the bit that stands out, prices are forty pounds for the adult shirts. Now, there has been some debate about the quality of the Macron shirts, but one thing I can categorically state is that at forty chuffing quid they are taking the piss.

I know that's a similar price to all of the other clubs in the country, and they are taking the piss too. It wouldn't be so bad if it was made by one of the so-called "big" kit makers, but it's made in small cowshed in Italy behind a moped repair place and next to a pizza restaurant, four doors down from the Dolmio family. Wardy has been working there as a temporary machinist while he's been injured. Probably.

I'd rather have one of the retro brown and yellow ones for a tenner less, or wait for a few months until there's another mega sale. Or alternatively get a dirt cheap one from the Bay of E. Hell, I'd rather spend forty quid on four thousand penny chews. Or shoelaces. Or tigers.

Forty quid! Forty fucking pounds! Forty English pounds, for Christ's sake!

Just saw the new black shirt on the home page; bloody awful. Stupidly thin strips and the stitching on the shoulders makes the whole thing look very cheap indeed. Shame.

Got to give Bob his dues; he got this one just right in his reveals.

Some of you will remember that I was VERY critical of last seasons home shirt, mainly due to what I considered the poor quality.
Yesterday at on of the shops in LHR T5 I checked out the new shirts for ManUre, Arsenal and Liverpool and I can honestly say they are all very poor quality, especially the new ManUre home shirt which is very similar in style and quality to our home shirt from last season!

Our white away shirt from last season however, I thought was pretty good, in both style and quality, so I'm hoping the new home shirt is of similar quality to that!

I'm guessing the third strip hasn't yet been shown.

I'm going for three on the trot.

Anybody got one yet? am going down next week to get one just wondered if anyone can confirm the quality? I know there is a few posts knocking about saying they have touched it in the shop but anyone bought one and had it on???

I went into town today and bought the home shirt. I wasn't sure about the design having seen the picture but I thought it looked much better when i tried it on, as someone has already mentioned it is very similar to our premier league shirt.

Although the quality is by far superior compared to last seasons home shirt I was a little concerned at the amount of shirts on the hangers that had dodgy stitching or already had pink stains on the white stripes!

Think i am going down tomorrow to get one however Bob has mentioned a 3rd kit so am not sure whether to wait for that. I will check out the quality tomorrow

no there are three kits. Home, Away and the third kit.

The back with red pinstripe is the nicest IMHO unless you really like lumo kits of course.

Saw a the away kit for thr first time (in the flesh) yesterday and I thought it was very nice. Makes a nice change with the pin stripes rather than a plain block of colour or wide stripes.

Even thought about buying one for the first time in years, main that's put me off is everyone sayin how crap quality they are. I I'm spending £40 on a top I want it to last a while.

I'm not a big fan of black shirts really, i think the lop-sided collar is a bit strange but it's certainly not the worst kit we've had.

Does anyone know what colour the '3rd shirt' is going to be?

Just as a matter of interest (and ignoring the obvious "because it'll make us some money") why on earth do we need a 3rd kit.

Who are we going to come up against that requires this ludicrous situation? I'm discounting the only other team to play in black at home as I have seen us wear the stripes on a number of occasions at SJP.

AC Milan, champions league final!

I think having a 3rd kit is bit pointless anyway, but if the club insists on having three kits what is the point in having two change kits that are both dull colours??

One of them should at least be a bright colour, I think our away shirt should always be yellow anyway!

Home, Away and 3rd kit can all be bought next year for £30 in total. That's what the sane people do.

I do hope they're Nike though

Are sane and outdated the same thing? They probably are actually...

If the sponsors and manufacturers change, each seasons kit will still be the same really, they'll always be the right colour!

I had a buyer for decathlon trying to offload a load of shirts to me for a quid each last night.

:/ i've heard our third kit my just been the same as last season... the shirt of many names!

*also, we did actually use our third kit quite often last season :) though, that was mainly due to our genius club making the away kit the same colours as the home kit...
