New kit - now released

The sponsor on home shirt is that horrible shitty plastic latex crap that looks awful after one wash.

Can you get the home top without the sponsor? I'd be more tempted if so.

Anyone been down and got some pics of the home kit rom angles other than the front.... I.e. what's the back of the shirt like?

Also.... I'm not a fan of either shirt so far but one positive about them...... At least it's not quite as bad as the Liverpool 3rd strip!!!

The back is striped, not solid as others previously suggested. It's got the usual oval at the top with the sufc emblem.

just had a quick look on the store website, the away kit would look much better if the yellow shorts and socks were worn. hopefully that will be what they wear

Loving this thread.

The away kit looks dreadful, no problem with that.

However:

1) It isn't compulsory to purchase it
2) It'll only be around for a year
3) If the team are battering the opposition, they could be wearing purple mankinis and pink tutu's and no-one would bat an eyelid.

God, I can't wait for the season to kick off so we can go back to slagging the players/management/pies/kiosk queues etc.

That's fair enough if you don't care about the kit. I personally would rather have a kit that doesn't look like a buy one get 4 free offer from sports direct.

This thread is brilliant ,full of men (and women) who should never be seen anywhere near a football kit bleating on about fibres ,stripes ,collars and colours like frigging Gok Wan. Leave it to the kids and the players to wear ,nothing sadder than a balding, 50 year old in blue jeans black shoes and a xxxl shirt hanging out. Maybe this should have been the kit then we would have loads of 'full kit wankers'.

What was everybody's first thought on the Yellow/Purple halved shirt? It is/was horrible but is now a classic. One of my faves.

As Sharrowblade says. Yellow shorts and socks it looks fine.. Other than children and sex offenders who buys the full kit?

It would certainly look less of a mess if the logo was higher up out of the way. I still wouldn't buy or wear one though. It actually kinda looks like it says "football manager georgi" and i bet that's what a lot of ribbing will involve around the various alehouses of the region.
