It is simple, don't you know;

I've got hold of an example of one of next years many adidas templates and the quality is absolutely superb. Things are looking good guys. Also it cost £16 so how much will it cost with a badge and a sponsors logo stuck on it? I'd say £40 so that's £24 for a badge, eeerm:confused:o_O.

that Argie shirt is nice but the diagonal pinstripe thing that's going on would look shite in red

I hope we don't get a standard template, I've bought some in the past but the ones I like to wear are always the unique style like 2012/13 kit.
I like what they are doing at Gillingham FC with creating their own brand, something I hope more clubs do in the future. Anything is better then standard templates another 30 clubs use.

Yeah, just use the same template on 3 shirts

Nothing wrong with that my point was its a template that is "unique" to them as a club and not something standard other clubs also use.

We have a red and white striped home kit, there not a lot you can do with that to make it look unique.

People need to get over the template thing and if the adidas rumours are indeed true, I will bet you that United's Training gear sales will be way way way higher that Gillingham's own brand rubbish.

Those mock ups scream shit quality.

Hi guys, bit of a heads up on Adidas...as a Brentford supporter,we signed a two year deal with Adidas last summer,we were given the Estro template for both home and away shirts for last season,we had numerous problems with Adidas who could not cope with supply and demand.,.yes supply and demand to a small league 1 club...so good luck !,the training range was forever out of stock and new stock was very very slow in forthcoming...this summer we have been given their full package which is a bespoke design, now you have to be able to sell circa 20000 shirts to get this package.....so you could well be ok ?

We release our new home kit next week on the 2nd,we have been given some snippets and a full picture of one of our training shirts

Q: Can you provide some details regarding the Adidas contract?

A: Mark Devlin – 2 year deal, new home and away kit each year. The designs this year were the only designs available. Orange was the original choice for the away kit as Matthew Benham likes bright colours, but Adidas discontinued they Orange option.

Clubs that can purchase more than 20,000 shirts have access to the full Adidas catalogue, hence we had to have the plain back. They have agreed to have stripes next year to compensate for the lateness of this years kit.

We will have stripes on the back from 2014/15. Adidas’ strategy changed this year from previously providing only to “A list” clubs to providing for all categories, they over committed and their supply chain could not cope. The design for 2014/5 has already been signed off.

The power of the Adidas brand is very successful and some lines have sold out already and is very good quality. When it does fall into place then supporters will be happy.

From the football side Uwe was happy as long as Mark Devlin could support it, e.g. in the Academy it is a very strong brand, a pair of Adidas shoes, track suit is more attractive to a kid than a lesser brand etc…

There have been endless discussions with the academy and clothing. Adidas took too many teams on in the one year, that is why there are problems this year

Expecting a boom in attendances down there then? or have all 7000 Brentford fans decided to buy more than 2 shirts each?

Because Adidas messed up last season, they upgraded us apparently

Should get a full house every week next season in the championship hopefully

You say that but.. Barca always seem to reinvent the striped theme. I can't remember a bad Barca home shirt ever. Here's their latest version

Good post mate. Thanks for the update.

Supply & Demand - I think this will be Brentford's doing rather than Adidas. I seem to remember Barnsley having a similar issue with Nike. They want targets on how many to sell etc. so Barnsley & Brentford would have just bought the nominal amount.

The power of Adidas does and will influence people to purchase more. The shirts will always sell but polo shirts and other stuff like training gear will be a total unknown for us in the first season. I envisage a massive increase in sales of Polos with Adidas as opposed to Macron as they really do look so much better.

The reason that shirts are increasingly badly designed is because they aren't about style or function or even smartness. The designers HAVE to change them so that there is a new one every year to sell to a bunch of suckers who they know will buy them at an inflated rate (for a bit of badly sewn together nylon).

Is Qatar Foundation where they bury the dead Indian building labourers?

Another snippet leaked today

The supply and demand issue was all Adidas's fault, they just coudnt supply the gear and admitted this, this is the reason why we have an upgraded package for next season, the 'condivo' range is what the training kit etc will be taken from so you can expect the same id imagine, last season nearly every lower league adidas sponsored sides had the same training wear design
