And how much have we spunked in wages on loans such as Holgate, Archer and BBD amongst others since we had the option to purchase ?

Less than what Henderson was reportedly getting paid after he re-upped with Man U I'd wager

Faxon could fill the 3rd spot
He could be then you lose a degree of flexibility in terms of his development and your ability to send him out on loan if an good opportunity arises and you could end up with an Eastwood type situation

I hope we manage Faxon's development better than we appear to (from a distance) have handled Dewhurst, Warhurst and Amissah's. Haven't all those three had age group international recognition?

Warhurst? Dewhurst had England under 20 recognition and Amissah has for Ghana.

There’s no guarantee any of them would’ve been good enough but I think more than any other position it’s very difficult to go for academy keeper to first team keeper without a loan to get used to playing in front of supporters who are right next to you all game and likely giving you some hammer and like all young players you’ll make mistakes.

The ability to send a young keeper on loan if a situation you think will help develop them presents itself seem crucial to me.

I noticed Jamal Blackman is on a free. He'd be a half decent number 2, relatively cheap and never really let us down during his loan spell.
Wouldn't mind Blackman as a number 2, he was decent enough for us. Would probably take Patterson over Johnansson, less competition for his signature and he's played consistently in a better Sunderland side for the last 2 seasons than Johansson has for the last 2 seasons at Rotherham.

Be Wharton presumably.

any sell on clause for ramsdale might just pay half the fee for patterson

Depends on how much he goes for, pretty sure sell on clauses only come into effect when selling someone for a profit, hopefully Calvert-Lewin will be sold as we sold him for cheaper than he is worth now.

20% of any profit we sold ramsdale for 30m if chelsea stump up 50m thats 4m for us

Us being linked with keepers other than VJ doesn't mean that we're not in for him - we need multiple keepers.
If the current contract status is to be believed, we will only have Grbic as a registered senior keeper beyond this season.
Even if we keep Grbic (which I highly doubt!) we'd have 2 x goalies including VJ, and we need 3, surely?

I expect us to sell Grbic to the highest bidder to recoup what we can, sign Victor and one decent League One keeper to compete with him, plus an older steady pair of hands who's happy to be third choice.
I think Faxon will be 3rd choice next season.

dont know just been told he will be on the transfer list this summer
Well , we can list him , but good luck getting a buyer.
It's like thrown money down a 'Brewster Drain'.
A deep dark drain from which it's impossible to dredge up anything.

Ok,I know nothing on him but he's highly rated, young and going on a free and it would really annoy Wrexham!
