Leeds were on him like a pack of hyenas. Fair play to them. Won’t be like that every week.

this , as much as it pains me to say Leeds harassed our whole team and worked very very hard . You can tell they are well drilled now and with the players they have available i personally think they will stay top 6 at least

they were on Duff and pretty much all our players within seconds particularly Hendo when he lost his foot /brain / general functions !

Duff had a bad game but he has been an outstanding player for us and personally hope he is with us for as long as he carries on playing , even if its for 10-20 mins sub appearances in a year or 2
replacing him with our 'funds' is going to be very hard

If we are to move onto the "next level" then Duffers along with the forwards are the ones to be upgraded. The problem is that buying a better version of Duffy will cost money we do not currently have, even before we look at the forward line. Duffy has been exceptional since he joined us, but to progress we need to improve. We simply do not have the £xm it would cost to find better. CW gets so much out of players, improving them and making them better than they have ever been, to then go out and buy a ready made upgrade on our budget is very difficult. The board either need to stick (and risk losing CW) or twist (and gamble), it is now all about big money IMO.

If you ask me this should be thread about Fleck not Duffy. Fleck is coasting and it's hurting our play.

Duffy is our best technical player. He didn't go missing, he lost the ball, gave it away numerous times, but he never goes missing. He still wants the ball and tries.

I said earlier, they had Forshaw man marking him, he was all over him like a rash....and often Hernandez would be on him too.

One thing leeds did very well was tie our midfielders up.. all looked non existent or only showed something in patches instead of the usual setting pace of the game.

Duffys not done he was just marked out of the game tacticly by leeds, we tried to compete with that by bashams runs from the back to try and unsettle their set formation and also mcgoldrick came deep quite a bit to try and pull their man marking forward to create gaps for our midfield.. how many times when we were attacking was there a massive gap in 'the hole' where not one player from either side was stood, thats where duffys usually in but was an impossible task saturday!

Interesting observation. Not sure what the issue is, Don't think he's coasting, I've a feeling it's a change of role/position since the arrival of Norwood, but he isn't as effective as he was.

I still think Duffy is our most important player, when he played well we generally win, but I do agree with the general feeling that we need to find his future replacement, before he goes over the tipping point not afterwards. I don't agree that he is only good for an hour, or done, Saturday he wasn't at his best but give Leeds some credit for that with how he was marked all game, in fact I personally think that was the reason Goldie was dropping so deep, to try & make some space for Duffs. Every player has dips in form & maybe he is in one himself, but he is the one who we turn to because he is the best we have & I think that will be the case for the rest of the season at least.

In short "no". He's still got a lot to offer, everyone has bad games. Writing someone off after one of them is a little bit knee-jerk to say the least.

On a serious note, yes he went missing a bit, but in THE biggest game of many a year he was’bouncing’
If he performed to the 8or9 out of 10 he is capable of he would be bottom end prem. the reason he isn’t is he lacks consistency, that’s to our gain most match days.
