Yup. Photo was taken 3 years ago at De Rodes Arms in Barlborough. Dane is a top guy! I told him that he is one of the best Blades players I have seen since I started being a Lane regular in 1970.

I was a mascot in 1992 for the Blades and Whitehouse was getting physio treatment when the ball went round to be signed.

A few weeks later Mick Rooker saw me outside the ground and Whitehouse was with him, he had a word and he came over and signed my shirt and programme and told me to take the ball to the ground and he’d arrange to have it signed and returned to me. Rooker and Dane, top Blades.

Little things like that are things that live long in the memory. I’d like to think that it would happen nowadays but unfortunately people like you and Dane aren’t around in football anymore with the very odd exception I’m sure.

Managed to stay in till first goal , but it went batshit crazy after that , from us and them
but down near front if you were on Leppers Lane end looking across it would be to your right

Yes, Blackpool scored in the 1st minute from a penalty. My Norwich mate came to the match with me and we were playing long balls for the rest of the 1st half, he said to me "you are playing the Wimbledon way!" which wasnt much of a compliment to me!
