This seems a strange commercial partnership for the club. I realise why they are doing it but it seems a one way deal this...how many Blades / football fans will be considering this car hire company for their holidays to Saudi Arabia? OK UAE granted, but most people don't drive there anyway.

I wonder whether things will change if McCabe wins the court case?

True but there’s also been a recent trend for Chinese sponsors and in some case none of their products or services are available in the UK either.
It kind of proves how popular the PL brand is around the world when foreign companies are so keen to invest.

I looked on Blades site and saw this I also noticed they are a Saudi Arabian company, could this be a slight indication that the Prince may win. I don't know but it sometimes does make you wonder but, if it benefits the club so be it.

And by 'confident' I don't mean I want him to, as such, but think the decision will go for him.

Until the case is decided both owners have to proceed as if they’re going to win. Otherwise they risk ‘winning’ a club that isn’t as good as it could have been.

I have a feeling it will end as it is. Both with 50% ownership and a stern telling off to both to get there fingers out and start to pull the club in the right direction together. Whether they like it or not.

Suppose it shows that Prince Abdullah can also attract sponsorship (I assume it's his work because Al-wefaq have tagged him in their Twitter announcement), should he win the case, and it's money coming in regardless.

I'd much rather have the weird sponsors on the staff kit that we never get.

I thought they sold apples, or fruit or something. Evidently their sponsorship worked wonders anyway.

An exciting development and another indication of how far and quickly the club have progressed. No disrespect intended but this is a million miles away from recent commercial deals.

The Saudi link is another very interesting aspect. Tbh I can't see a huge market for car hire with most Unitedites - when I was over there earlier this year, it was still my company's policy to only use company drivers and use of public transport inc. taxis and car hire is strictly forbidden. However, things are changing rapidly in KSA and Utd's rise may be perfectly times to take full advantage of the shift with other investment and commercial deals, particularly with the links the club now has.

I've always found Saudi's difficult to negotiate with, mainly due to the very different cultures and approaches to doing deals. However, once a deal is agreed and a handshake takes place, they honour their commitment. I certainly hope that's still the case as I'm expecting one of the largest organisations over there to pay the company I work for >$600m in the next 6 weeks

Personal experience. They have loads of cash but don't like to part with it and never stick to payment terms.
