Any view on Hector Kyprianou, a former Tottenham youth, can also play in central midfield and at centre half? 4 years younger than Knight. Bit taller at 6'2. 8 goals from midfield this season, an international for Cyprus and linked to Bournemouth in Janurary.I know his mate and we have been in for him a couple of seasons ago.
Prior to this season he has struggled for game time at Peterborough,. Right age though, and good pedigree so would no doubt relish a step up to the championship. His wages aren't extortionate either. Might be one for Wilder then......
Ronnie Edwards at Peterborough is the one they're all raving about.
The asking price for Edwards is just wild if we were chasing a young CB at Peterborough Katongo from City could be worth a look after a decent loan there.I know his mate and we have been in for him a couple of seasons ago.

Already failed, knocked out by Oxford in play off semiI'd love to take Kwame Poku from Peterborough if they fail to go up. Great player and has the potential to be a long term McAtee replacement.
Still waking up, brain fart. I'd had eyes on that match up as I'd love us to poach Poku if Peterborough failed to go up, and Brannagan if Oxford failed to go up.Already failed, knocked out by Oxford in play off semi

Brannagan has gotten better and better over the last three seasons. He's too good for League One and 28 isn't too old.Brannagan has been touted on here for years as one who will soon make the step up but he’s still at Oxford. Can’t see him getting much better now given his age so I’d hope we were in for better.

2021/22His output in terms of goals and assists hasn’t really improved over the last three seasons. I suppose it depends where you think we’re at. If we’re aiming for top end of the Championship next season then we’ll need better. I don’t think Brannagan is there yet and given his age it’s unlikely he’ll get significantly better. There’s a reason he’s still at Oxford.
2021/22
44 Games 14 Goals 3 Assists
Goal contributions - 17
2022/23
44 Games 9 Goals 2 Assists
Goal contributions - 11
2023/24
43 Games 12 Goals 9 Assists
Goal contributions - 21
He may have had a blip in 22/23 for whatever reason, but what a comeback this season.
We'll probably never agree on this but for me he could be worth a punt as he'll cost less than £2mil.
We couldn’t have got Edward’s or probably even Greaves with the money we used on Trusty, Slimane and Traore I don’t think. Peterborough were asking 15 million for Edward’s off spurs last summer. Spurs understandably said no thanks and went and spent 10 on Phillips from Blackburn instead. This is what annoys you about this club.
Ronnie Edwards, Jacob Greaves, Eze, Olise, Jared Bowen, Johansson, all begging to be taken for affordable fees long before they end up or have ended up, with someone else.
Yet instead, when you look at the first two, we choose to spend our money on Trusty, Slimane and Traore.
He had a release clause in his last contract of £1.2mil, so his new contract will also likely have a release clause. He's stated in numerous interviews that he wants Championship football, so I doubt he'd accept a release clause with an even higher fee, as that would hinder his chances of leaving Oxford.Yep exactly as I said, little improvement over the past three seasons.
For me we need to be looking at better than a punt for someone his age. I could understand it if he was 5 or 6 years younger. As I said though, it probably depends where you feel we’re at.
Where’s the £2m come from by the way?
Best post on here for a long time.
