However......... will the sponsor be on kids shirts? With it being a Gambling firm?

I knew it! These guys are responsible for making pub quizzes and the one in my local uses their stuff. There's always questions about Sheffield United. Ched Evens even appeared in the picture round at some point last season, before the scandal. I always suspected they might be Blades.

Borbokis, Redtooth also "do it for a living". The logo may not look good on our away shirts, however, they are giving us money, why should they change their corporate colours/logo just to suit our kit? Perhaps it should be the other way around?

JL 94x4, Redtooth are NOT a "gambling company": They do not promote gambling, they sell pub quizes (free to enter) and operate a pub poker league (free to enter) that is played for prize money, not stakes.

I don't think this is right. I think that teams who have gambling sponsors are not allowed to have those sponsors on the children's kits. This was certainly the case in 2010, when I last looked at the point - West Ham and Spurs both had different sponsors for kid size kits.

Forest also had to give the option of kids shirts not having Victor Chandler's logo on them.

Correct. Anyone that is sponsored by a gambling or alcohol company doesn't have the sponsor on the kids shirts.

One of the two chaps who runs Redtooth is indeed a Blade (the other is a Wolves fan I believe). They did a pub quiz a few years back now in the Ash Tree in Ashford (Middlesex) so as I lived just around the corner and Martin Peters was being advertised as the special guest, I decided to go, and wore my 1971 retro Blades shirt rather mischievously.

Of course, my shirt attracted the attention of the boss so he came over for a chat, and I told him I was tempted to ask a question in the Q&A bit about THAT fateful game against Walsall in 1981. Mr Redtooth seemed more than happy with this.

As the Q&A became more banal by the minute, one question being, "What is the biggest game you've ever played in?" as the 1966 World Cup Final played silently on a big screen right next to Mr Peters, Mr Redtooth sidled up to me and asked wearily, "Are you going to ask your question then?" I needed no further encouragement.

Up went my hand, and like a planted-question-asker at a Labour Party Conference, I was picked out: "The gentleman in the, erm, red and white shirt there..."

I stood up and asked the simple but effective, "Did you have any further management opportunities after your experience with Sheffield United?" He didn't.

It was actually quite fascinating to hear his own pitch-side version of that awful last minute, from the jubilant leaping off the bench with clenched fists to the confusion upon discovering that John Matthews was bottling it. I didn't have the heart to tell him it was the only time I've heard my dad boo United off the pitch, a proper hearty boo too, complete with hands to the mouth for extra volume.

super_pig we weren't sponsored by VW - we were sponsored by Gilders Group. They just hid the Gilders Group bit in tiny text beneath the large VW logo.

Wednesday still have Gilders as their principle sponsor next season - so they can carry on looking like an under 9s team sponsored by the garage where the left back's dad works. Better that than some Monaco banking service as preferred by their chairman though, I suppose.

VW's are great, i'm on my third, never had problems with any of them (unlike the Fiat and Ford I had before).

Just swapped a mkV GT TDI Golf for an old Audi TT 225 Quattro. Bit of a girl's car but it shifts! Can't beat VAG group cars. Top quality (touch wood anyway!)

I made a mistake with with a French car; my dad gave me his old Peugeot 106. I still felt ripped off.

My first car was French. A Clio. It was wank. Had it 11 months and it failed its MOT so catastrophically that I'm amazed it held together for the time that I had it. Ended up scrapping it and bought a Special Edition Mk1 Ford Focus. 1.6 Zetec engine, leather interior, heated seats, air con. Only cost me £2,000. Absolutely love it.

Yeah its a shame that the hairdressers got hold the Audi TT as they are cracking little cars. I upgraded my Golf GTI for an Audi RS4 convertible, but had to change it when we got a dog. VAG are reliable and fun. No contest for me
