It did occur to me that maybe somebody was daring to suggest that, as Lennon had walked, Wilder should be big enough to do the same thing.

I do think there are some of that opinion although most seem to get shot down if they even allude to it.

I don't understand the argument that an opinion posted on a forum shouldn't be allowed to be "shot down". Isn't that also part and parcel of a forum? If the opinion has merit, it'll withstand the criticism.

As long as the comments are intelligent and credible and not the usual f*** off type comments, debate is good right now with where we are, so why not have a sensible debate? surely debate is healthy.

I think that is quite fair.
I suppose opinions don’t really even have to have merit.
They can be agreed with, shot down, criticised, discussed, elaborated on, ignored, laughed at, etc.
You’re right that is what a forum is about.
