Foxy, could you set up another section where all the negative and uninspiring posters can have their say? Every time I look at the forum at the moment I feel that I am following a club that is scrambling at the bottom of the league with a huge debt and absolutely no quality players.

I understand that we are all entitled to our opinion but it seems that anyone who tries to make a positive one gets shouted down and only the negative will do. I watched a game last night that may have been poor in quality but was rich in excitement and showed that we have a team with the character to battle back to snatch a point - one more than all the teams above us did - yet it is all doom and gloom on here.

Realistically we may only manage the play offs this year, but the club is looking to stay financially viable in a very tricky economic climate, yet posters on here are willing and keen to slag every move that Blackwell makes (or doesn't) in the transfer market.

I hope that next time I look on this forum I don't feel so depressed once I have finished, but I am sure I am going to get a real roasting for daring to say something that isn't negative and get labeled a 'clapper' well I will be a proud Blade clapper if that is the case.

I've now stopped reading every thread.

Yes we know it's not great watching United at times.

Everyone knows we can play better.

Everyone wants better players than we have.

couldnt agree with you more there SF, its reaching the point that you dont need to come on to get the idea of whats being said.

For me debate has departed to be replaced by venomous hate-fillled rants about the same subject over and over again. Its far and away from the friendly place of wit and banter that it was.

What i worried would happen, is actually beginning to become a reality!

All the numptys from BU have started to type their drivel on here, and in multiple threads on the same subject.

By all means, if we've been bad, then ok have a bit of a moan, but be constructive! To suggest such things as getting rid of a manager who last season got us to the play-off final and this season has lost one league game, is just unbelievably naive and stupid, and shows what i have thought for a long time....a lot of blades have nothing between their ears.

This site had a very intellictual and varied set of opnions before some of the idiots from BU arrived with their blinkered negative view of the Blades. Some of the BU members are very much welcome as they give constructive and back up their opinions, others just make me not want to post anymore.

I think there is a growing number of the members who are growing tired of the the negative stuff and the lack of 'discussion'. Many of our newer members though do add to the colour of the forum as you mention and indeed are a welcome addition.

As I said when this was raised a few weeks ago, as a former BU'er and newbie on here, I look around and see as many names I don't recognise as well as long standing posters on here who are just as negative.

The problem is, whenever negativity is posted, the same people tend to jump to defend and it's inevitable that the same subjects will keep cropping up. As with a certain ex-BU poster, the answer is not to rise to the bait as the valid points end up getting lost in the barrage of handbag waving. Easier said than done, I know

I do think we should create a seperate section called 'Knockers' (don't get excited keenz!) And only let certain members post in it, and ban them from the rest of the forum

That's fair enough, but the constant duplication of subjects is so, so, so annoying

I take your point, and i for one want to make it clear that the ex BU's members on here are not the root of any issue. But with every new visit there may be 10+ new threads/posts. And as the negativity and bitching seem to ensue throughout all of them its hard to seperate the wheat from the chaf.

Noone is saying that you must respond or even read all the threads, however without doing so, how can you make your point about a subject without reading through it first, making sure to not repeat something or make a completely unrelated point

I will never understand posters whose main response to reading views contrary to their own is to suggest/demand that those views are censored or in some way marginalised.

It strikes me as a very narrow minded attitude.

The best responses to posts you don't agree with would appear to me to be:

1. State your own position in response

2. ignore the post (or use the ignore poster function)

3. Stick your fingers in your ears, shut your eyes and shout "la la la, can't hear you!".
