I almost put in brackets that I didn't want to pick anyone but did just to give an actual answer

Fwiw in my personal opinion i think he's a season or 2 from being ready for mens soccer. My advice to City if i was Hecky is don't worry about over coaching his football as he has ability in abundance.

Just get him hitting the gym and building up that upper body strength and focusing on that 100%

I actually think the core body strength of our team has been very underrated. players like Ndiaye, RND, even Mcburnie have come back alot visibly stronger this season and is a pretty huge factor in our success so far.

Get Mcatee up to those same levels and the worlds at his feet.

He’s picking up on your own words “iIf we continue in the same vein”. If that occurs we average 2.3 points per game and we win the league at a canter. That’s a reality.
The likely reality is we’re unlikely to continue in the same vein but it was you who set that standard. I’d personally settle for 2 points per game, so a slight decline on our current form but I also consider that unlikely too, but you never know.

We don’t ‘need’ to do anything in January, but I’d not be averse to loaning out Jebbo if things stay as they are, and I’d consider moving Osborn on. We don’t need him. Bringing in, I’m not sure we need owt.

Saul Good Man (apologies to Breaking Bad) except protection of the back 3.

If we had N’Golo Kante sitting in front of our back 3 at the base of a triangle this squad (including loans) is top half Prem.

Real Blades-quality commitment runs through the squad from Wes to George to RND to Bash to Anel to Tommy (maybe Sander) to Ili (maybe Reda) to Billy and a few of the Academy boys. We lack an aggressive, run with the ball, DM - maybe Blaster or Coulibaly can become that.

Blades are about something different - and journymen clothes horses like McB and BrewDog, who look in the mirror before they come on the pitch, will never become one of us.

Build on who we are, and 30,000 of us will carry us forwards.

On the Ndaiye cover do you not think Khadra and McAtee provide this? Clearly Iliman is phenomenal - so you can’t expect to have a replacement of that quality on the bench, I’d say Khadra is the closest you’re going to get.

Too early to judge where we are really, especially given the strange nature of the season, but a great start so far.

Obviously, Anel looks like a great signing and Ndiaye has been phenomenal. RND has really improved as a player and McBurnie is looking more like his former self.

Injuries are still a huge worry and McAtee has looked very Ben Woodburn like so far.

Take each game at a time, but we'll have a much better idea where we are on the first game in February.

I don’t think it was a point of view from Nightsweats, merely some simple arithmetic. Currently we are averaging 2.3 points per game. If we continue “in the same vein” this would equate to 105 points by the end of the season. Fair enough, we might not win the league at a canter, probably more of a gallop.

Best player has been N'Diaye but being pushed close by the likes of Ahmedhodzic, Norwood and Berge.

Most improved has to be RND.

Best signing is definitely Ahmedhodzic but some sensible business all round and Khadra, Doyle, McAtee and Clark all look useful.

Biggest flop? Unfortunately, I'd have to say Fleck has struggled with consistency again.

Window needs to be mainly about resisting any offers for N'Diaye and convincing Berge to give it (at least) six more months to get us back to the PL. I guess injuries could dictate a need to strengthen the squad - maybe LCB/LWB, maybe GK. As long as McBurnie keeps scoring, we're fine up top.

The next five games are very winnable followed by four tough ones against probably our biggest challengers in Norwich and Burnley at home and Baggies and Brizzle City away. Then we have winnable ones to the halfway mark. I think we'll be mid/high 40s after 23 games and top two but, especially if we can pick up good results in the run of four tougher games, don't rule out 50.

Top scorer - N'Diaye is on fire and I can see him continuing to score and create.

Yeah - I think the jury is still out on Macatee, there’s definitely quality there, just about whether he’s ready for Championship football just yet.

If the injured lot return (and no new major injury concerns) and current form across the squad continues I don’t see the need to do anything in the JTW. Just don’t sell anyone and that’s great business.
