Not usually one to go overboard, but that first half performance from Ndiaye today!

We have had a lot of great players over the year..Browny, MGW, etc, but he was virtually unplayable in that half.

Of course it may not be with us long term, but if he stays injury free, I think he will go to the very very top. Baller

No more than 1 more year with us. Same goes for Anel unfortunately. If we go up we could keep them, but expect them both to go for large fees.

I'm just going to say it...

Best player I've seen in a red & white shirt.
By a long way for me, 32 years I’ve been watching so granted we’ve not had tonnes of superstars, but he’s something else. Standing ovation for that bit of skill he did, he even gave it away and won it back.

It has been an absolute privilege watching Illy this season. A supremely talented footballer who plays the game with a smile on his face despite the stick he gets from opposing teams.
He was unplayable in that first half today and along with other posters on this thread. he's one of the best players I've seen in the red and white stripes.

A magnificent player.

Said it got a while but he’s going all the way if he can stay injury free. By far the best footballer we’ve had in a red and white shirt.

When macatee was getting treatment in the first half i was watching illiman , he had the ball and was just flicking it about doing his repetoire of tricks not against anyone just doing them for his pleasure, this kid must love playing football and is a true joy to watch, the most skillful player in my 50plus years of watching

At one point in the first half I counted 4 Wigan players all crowded around him at a setpiece, moments later he shrugged them off all off like they weren't even there to collect the ball anyway and do something outrageous with it. Because that's just what he does. I know it wasn't exactly the best opposition but he was absolutely in a class of his own out there.

Courage of a Lion.
Never makes a meal after getting lumps kicked out of him cos that’s all his opponents can do.
Can here em now at half time after Ndiaye made em all look like Mr Blobby trying to playing football.
“Who’s gonna nail that clever little bastard first”
It felt like the Ndiaye show for large parts of the match.
Magic to watch.

That confidence and ability,
Mixed with the tenacity and passion almost guarantees him one hell of a career.
Kids got it all, and the world at his feet.

Just a magical player - how lucky are we to see him develop. Assume he will leave for better things at the end of the season and will be fascinated to where his career takes him.

If he returns to the Lane to play against us one day, I will give him a standing ovation pre match for the pleasure he has given us all. I always feel a little guilty that I booed Brian Deane when he returned for Leeds.

Boooooooooooo o ooo wer !!!!

I've been going since 2000 and it's between him and Morgan Gibbs-White.
I actually think Jack O'Connell might be next.
I've been watching since the early 90's and would say Ndiaye is the most technically gifted player I've seen play for us.
MGW also fits somewhere into that category as well, super talented but a little bit inconsistent imo.
I just feel like Ndiaye has reached another level this season though and has the potential to be something really special.

My personal top 5 would be something like this btw.

1. Ndiaye
2. Deane
3. Jagielka
4. O'Connell
5. Fleck (Not Jimmy)

The most naturally gifted player I have seen play for us (after Dean Hammond obviously).

He has all the tricks and flicks, very quick feet with close control like the ball is glued to his foot and does stuff with the ball you rarely see.
The last player we had who could do this type of stuff was Alex Sabella when he was having a good game, which didn't always happen.

Hope im wrong, but I don't think Illy will be a Blade next season.

I think we’ll have Illy at least until January
longer if we can get a new contract on the table
I think he’s very happy here and has a bit of Loyalty
I don’t think we will get the mouthwatering offer this summer (not impossible though)
If we can’t tie him down on a revised contract though then January 24 he’s on his way

Do you think that's why he and his representatives refused to sort out a contract, when they were approached to talk about one previously??

That would be part of my assumption (although I know FA of the inside track)
That and the limbo we find ourselves in with towd finances

The guy is like some kind of footballing Nostradamus, at one time in the 2nd half, he read the defenders mind before the defender did. Magic on legs!!!

Well we just missed out on signing Maradona all those years ago, but we have our own now. Just hope, providing we gain promotion, he can be with us for the foreseeable. No I haven’t been on the piss, I honestly believe, if he keeps his head down, this lad could become as great.
