Ndiaye and GW

Olsen in for Foderingham.
B Davies in for Robinson (who I hope to never see again).
Berge in for Norwood.

I think those changes to today's XI would amount to our best team. Possibly Bogle in for Baldock too if we're really going to go for it.

Everybody loves Baldock and I think Norwood improved as the game went on, but the changes you mention would in theory make us VERY exciting going forward. Imagine an on form Bogle combining with Ndiaye and MGW, and Berge finally having creative players to pass to - it could be so good.

Piss off with this " assists " shit. You mean he made some good passes, some of which resulted in goals. All this " assists " shit is more Americanese we can well do without.
Zzzzzzzzzzz yawn.

Considering we haven’t seen many decent assist in about 18 months, it makes a refreshing change for somebody to be putting it on a plate 3 times in one game!

First touch poor? Sharp was incredible in every aspect. Every time they pinged the ball into him it stuck or he laid it first time into a red and white shirt
Yeah, I thought at times the ball bounced up off him but he had a great game.

As exciting as the potential in Berge is, he hasn't shown anything so far to demonstrate that he can impose himself anywhere in the midfield department.

The only position that can be improved is replacing Norwood however Berge has proven to lack aggression, lose possession under pressure and worst of all, hide during games. He would be a terrible choice for a defensive midfield role.

When I saw the line up before the game I wasn't overly excited but fuck me I was loving it at the end, where do the players not involved today fit into the squad if they are available for Tuesday? Olsen and Davies if they are available definitely, Berge on the bench or possibly in for Norwood?

Don't agree with you. I think Berge would love having creative flair players to pass to. Let's not make this about 'being right about player X'. The two players in the OP looked like a gift sent from above today. They proved to have a positive influence on a number of players, and we should all be hoping that the same will go for whoever comes into the team.

I think I have few bromances after todays game. We had overwhelming result with starting 11 which didn't fire up many supporters before kick off.

Whole team looked different, kept attacking and even scored goal after these two magnificent players substituted. Which means that we were able to play like this while we still have strong(er) players in team available in future games.

I think we will do good as long we can keep the energy and movement regardless the player rotation.

You've just described Norwood.

Nice to have some excitement, where hS Ndiaye sprung up from? Was he tearing the reserves up? I know ita nor always easy to make the comparison at 23's

If you were talking about bollox such as XG I would agree but assists has been a thing since I can rememeber, including when I started playing kids footy in the early 80s 🤣

Ndiaye and GW bring positive play to the team. They look to try things and brought variation to our attacking play. They make themselves available for the ball and allow is to attack more centrally than we have for a long time. GW impressed me with attempting crosses from deeper areas. Peterborough were poor but it was an excellent performance and hopefully it inspire the team to continue to attack in this manner.

I think todays game will bring back a thing we've been missing for a season and a half, "confidence",. Lets face it, the lack of goals has been a real confidence killer'
but today we scored first, and we came back even stronger after they scored,
Today's win and the fresh faces has put a spring in the step of the player as well has the supporters, and the longer we can keep it up the stronger the team will become.

When was the last time United actually had a number ten - let alone two of them?

Duffy played the role but genuinely don’t think I can remember another since I started watching United in 1997

Class, that's a total understatement, but these 2 are absolutely class!!
With Billy giving all his experience, they all performed to gold standard!!!
Get Davies or JOC, back, Olsen in goal, and just think.................... on that note. I'm off for a wank!!!

6-2 win and you are ditching 3 players. Bar the fuck up Robinson did Ok, Foderingham was fine overall but never looked like saving their goal I’ll grant you. Norwood had a good game in my opinion. Don’t understand how so many people have this much faith in Berge, has the odd moment but his overall contribution is negligible and defensively he is a non entity with a poor workrate. Suspect Slav has sussed him, but time will tell I suppose.
I think there’s some wishful thinking that in a positive side we will see berge and brewster’s true ability. Brewster especially, virtually every game he has played for us has been a loss. I agree though you can’t change a winning side too much next game so norwood keeps his place. Would defo bring olsen and davies/bash in though, as much as i don’t mind robinson

I agree with everyone saying you can’t drop sharp now and I definitely agree unless it’s to rest him but someone behind me was saying how well mousset or brewster would fit in with MGW and ndiaye and I’ve got to agree. MGW already said he has a really goof connection with Brewster and with him already forming a great partnership with Ndiaye, that could be some front 3.

Me and a mate went to the Cowens book launch thingy with all the Blades legends. My mate asked Chris Wilder who the most talented player at BL was. My mate went through the whole squad whilst CW laughed at him telling him he'd never guess it. At the end he told us. The answer: Ndiaye.

These lads added exactly what we were missing - attacking flare, trickery, a bit of power and pace. No coincidence Fleck and Norwood were better (corners aside) as a result.

‪Ndiaye will score 500 goals‬
‪Ndiaye will score 500 more‬
‪Just to be the blade who scored 1,000 goals
To make the Bladesmen roar

Sheff United - Sheff United
Sheff United - Sheff United
Na na na, da da da da, der da da

Sheff United - Sheff United
Sheff United - Sheff United
Na na na, da da da da, der da da

Should catch on?

Its a real pity Wilder would not give him the deal he wanted and confined him to the kids. There was a big stand off and at one point I understand Ndiaye refused to play. Whilst we insisted on playing the favoured few we nearly lost this kid. Thank god a new manager has sorted it and does know potential. We spent £20m plus on Wilders thoughts. His quote was build for the future.
