Nathan has been told by his boss at Yorkshire live to stop posting click bait with no bait. In the absence of any real bait, Nathan has been told to do what other sources do, and “make shit up”.

Nathan is very good at baiting though, you could even say he's a masterbaiter.Nathan has been told by his boss at Yorkshire live to stop posting click bait with no bait. In the absence of any real bait, Nathan has been told to do what other sources do, and “make shit up”.
He's often broken stories in the past about us well before anyone elseNathan has been told by his boss at Yorkshire live to stop posting click bait with no bait. In the absence of any real bait, Nathan has been told to do what other sources do, and “make shit up”.
Yeah, he's regularly been cracking out several articles a day!Nathan is very good at baiting though, you could even say he's a masterbaiter.
Bit like PommpeyNot sure him and his mate Shield even attend matches, his player ratings are testament to that
Pretty sure the star are always well occupied with what wednesday are doing and the biased "super computer" predictionsThe Star journo's who were crying about The Prince binning them off for Nathan.....

I did laugh at the comment, but it is shit how local journalism is being killed by social media, and shit ownership, and I feel for them on a personal level.Star journo, singular. Hall's the last man standing there now - Shield was made redundant in the summer.
It's amazing how few people have noticed.
Genuinely didn't know this/realise! Then again, I try and avoid anything on the Star.Star journo, singular. Hall's the last man standing there now - Shield was made redundant in the summer.

I think my comment probably came across snarkier than it was intended, you're bang on the money there.I did laugh at the comment, but it is shit how local journalism is being killed by social media, and shit ownership, and I feel for them on a personal level.
You just hope there is still a gap for a serious paper/product that delivers proper insight and journalism. Unfortunately i don't think people are prepared to pay for it, and want to be fed what they like reading off a custom media feed.
It is a sign of the times and development of tech although for me personally, I prefer to listen to a podcast by fans or read this forum. Local journalism isn't feasible anymore due to pay per click advertising, he would be better creating his own Youtube channel/podcast, getting sponsors and making money that way or even online blog with advertising. The new tech has taken out of the local journos and the only way to be at the next level up such as SUFC TV or serious reporting is to be a former player.I did laugh at the comment, but it is shit how local journalism is being killed by social media, and shit ownership, and I feel for them on a personal level.

Perhaps the Athletic can sort themselves out, give him a job and cover us properly. The coverage is not what it was after Sutcliffe started writing about Wrexham.Genuinely didn't know this/realise! Then again, I try and avoid anything on the Star.
Shame for Hemmingway. He was one of the good guys and it's not nice to think of someone losing their job. I hope he can find something else!

Didn’t know about James Shield, but as others have said and as I’m no longer on Twitter and dont read the Star because of the subscription and ads, it lost its appeal long ago.
Nathan Hemmingway was fairly decent and got the good club info though.
I get more info from here though now - no ads, some good ITK and filter out the clown rumours as much as possible
Sad for the journos but sports journalism at the top two divisions doesn’t come from local journos it comes from nationals and big bucks tv channels

Feel for Shield.
This club has been his life since I can remember.
Hope he still shows his face at the Lane.
Met him the odd time and always found him to be a decent bloke.
GLTTL.
Turns out he was aware of the names the whole time - actually makes me respect him a little bit moreNo-one will keep Nutrigrain Hologram down
He moved across the city in 1973 not 1972Had James Shield been covering us since 1999 then?
Just checked up on Tony Pritchett and says he retired in 1999 and died in 2007.
