Not something to be overtly critical about but surprised that a couple of youngsters like Ayari, Brunt, Hackford etc. weren't placed on there to get some experience/integration, or was he trying to protect them?

Might have been nice for the youth team to see a pathway towards the first team set up by being rewarded with something like that.

(No sign of Rodwell, perhaps COVID related so unfair to speculate)

Wouldnt be surprised if a couple of youngsters wernt in the group that travelled.Dont need to put them on the bench ,young players often train with the 1st team squad.
Only naming 6 subs does seem like he is making a subtle statement.
