I think your all letting football and desperation for sucess blur your judgement on something that is a moral issue. Regardless of the ins and outs of the case he was convicted of rape. No matter what you say or what anybody else thinks you can't change that. What you are all failing to realise is that NOBODY cares the details of the case, which is unfortunate but true.
The damage to the image of the club, moral in the dressing room etc. plus the impact of that on our potential to attract quality staff and players would not be worth the PUNT of Ched even finding a third of the form he did before.

The old worldly views displayed on this thread are absolutely shocking.
I care about the details of the case, so please don't generalise. Plus I don't give two fucks ( consensual ones of course), what other clubs, fans, press, law, you or Uncle Tom Cobley and all think.
He was a fool, got stitched, and has paid a high price for his foolhardiness.
Let him redress the balance with SUFC, and give us first dibs at seeing if he still cuts it at this level.
I dislike some of the high handed moralistic shite I've read over the past two years on Chedgate.
Rapist my arse.

Was there all that fuss when Hughes and the lad currently keeping goal for Plymouth resumed their careers ?, both responsible for the deaths of people;can't seem to recall there was. It's not as though he is signing for Man Utd, it's little old Sheff U, all be forgotten about in a few weeks.
You reckon Martin Samuels will let this drop? Not a hope in hell.

Whenever there is anything slightly contentious re the Blades, I masochistically have a look to see if he has mentioned it. He never let's me down :)
Strange he was very quiet after a certain League cup game :D but fuck it the day I worry about what that :fattwat: writes it will be time to pack in following United and football in general.

Didn't say I was worried, makes me laugh that he's carried on this vendetta so long.
