as some of you know i travelled upto your place yesterday and heres my opinon on the day as a whole.

firstly, whoever pointed out The Howard, thanks alot. great pub, cheap beer and friendly staff. Also there were some Utd fans playing pool in there who even let us join their game of Killer. All friendly lads and their pork pies were alright aswell. So thanks goes to them aswell.

I felt the stewarding in the ground was shokcing to be honest. even though we were at the very back of the stand we were constantly told to sit down, and even when we did sit down they insisted they moved us to an empty block. while there we get quite a bit of abuse from utd fans but it was all enjoyable banter.

although when we came out the stand a group of men (i would say in their late 20s/30s) tried to trip us up and called us 'cockney c**ts'. even though our party was only made up of an 18,2 17 and a 15 year old. They said we were 'coming down 'ere giving it'. even though we was only talking about the game.

it was a shame as it seemed quite intimidating, but on the whole a great day

Sorry about your experiences of our stewards and more "select" idiots. We've always found the stewards at your place the best around with regards to standing etc. However, a few retards i.e. Leeds fans in the past have rather spoilt it with regards to our stewards' policy towards away fans.

You must be delighted with the three points and best of luck for the rest of the season.

yeah enjoyed the game although it wasnt exactly a classic. Its not your fault theres no need to appologise about the stewarding and heavy lot. That crossing under the roundabout on the way to the station could be like a warzone when a real rival turns up. But obviously not all fans are out for trouble.

I've heard it can be quite intimidating for away fans at lane...

I cant understand why the stewards were like that!! It really annoys me when they are like that. None say anything to us who stand up on the Kop.

Did you manage to get some beer for on way back down then?

not compared to down south it aint lol.

the pub was well cheap aswell. a round of 2 pints, 2 cokes and even getting the barman a drink come to like £7. thats brilliant

Thats extortionate :o lol.
You should try Leadmill with 60p bottles for a night out ;) haha

Anyways, glad you had a good time at the lane, and to be fair when we went to the Valley this season, really did enjoy it. Mainly because it felt a bit like the lane.
