Wee Georgie Baldock .

Before the season started I had serious doubts that this lad could make the grade in the Premier League . I'm absolutely delighted that he has proved me so wrong .

From the first ball being kicked down at Bournemouth he has been nothing but excellent and today's performance was truly wonderful.
His energy , commitment and passion coupled with a high degree of technical ability in both halves of the pitch made his performance an absolute joy to watch .

Love him to bits .

Will we be able to keep hold of him though ? These performances wont have gone unoticed and its not just Baldock. UTB

He was superb today marked Jackyboy out of the game, superb energy levels and bombing down the right he was unstoppable!
Southgate must take note!
Great second half team performance today!

Was awesome today (again.)

Even Chris Wilder was not as good as George! Perhaps Chris has helped him improve though bearing in mind he used to play right back.

What's more impressive about our 🌟👨🏽 is despite being so obviously one-footed, he still manages to beat his man and get a cross in. His crosses first half were prime for McBurnie to be attacking them.
Huge performance from him today.

It certainly isn’t. Has there EVER been 11 players who have progressed and developed into such great footballers as we are seeing right now at SUFC . You get the obvious individuals but never get a full squad who develop as a unit and at the same time . And guess who deserves the credit , CWAK.

What is also impressive is the work on strength and conditioning as well as fitness he’s completed.
He used to be regularly injured with strains and knocks but is now managing to keep incredibly fit for every game.
Top work by him but hats off to the fitness team. Somebody knows their stuff.

cant believe I’m saying this about my club given the state we’ve been in in years gone by, but the way the club is run from the shop, the ticket office, marketing teams, boardroom and of course coaching staff is superb.
It’s only taken all my life for us to get there!

Our management have put their trust in our championship team and its been reciprocated....we see promoted teams spend big bucks and not showing faith in the boys that have worked so hard to put that club in the position deserved..then spend big 8 or 9 new faces..is everyone gonna be happy? I don't think so..basically
..keep it real!

Doubted Baldock at the start of the season, wondered if he'd be able to cope. His will and drive to compete is outstanding, reminds me of a young gary neville but with more potential

George and Enda I doubted both of you how wrong was I.

Even before today I have been saying Fleck is my player of the season so far. Think he's been brilliant.
Baldock almost up with Lunny as most improved surprise of season.

Top spot on Football am’s showboat section

The conditioning of all the players incredible, 81st minute and Bash is bombing forward to be the Blades furthest forward player, then we lose the ball and 10 seconds later he's clearing from our box, absolutely incredible.

I hate to draw comparisons but like for like the last time I saw a group emerge and exceed expectations was the Man Utd lads under fergie, I didn’t think we were this good coming up, but we’re getting better every game as well..

I’m not saying basham is as good as beckham.... oh fuck it, he’s playing like him isn’t he.. :D

I bet WADA will have one eye on him. He was like a man possessed yesterday.

I thought it was a position we needed to strengthen pre season but it just shows how good players have the capacity to improve with the right coaching.

All those players we’ve had on loan to great success in the past only to buy them and they turn to garbage. It happened so many times that I thought the blame had to lie with our club set up. It’s the complete opposite now. We bring a player in to relatively underwhelming affect, but every time doubts are cast they just get better and better. Long mag it continue.

Another thing about Baldock - he's a little shithouse.

He hasn't come into the PL to feel overawed he's come in with the right amount of disrespect towards his opposition players, often mouthing off and leaving a bit on them (it worked wonders on Zaha).

This is something becoming more noticeable. Some of the disrespect towards the opposition is quite beautiful

Football is a physical game. Skills are no good if you're not tough and prepared to battle hard.
It's about time the Premier League got a reminder of that

If there's a fitter, more athletic player than Bash in the Premier League I don't know who it is.

I know that our players in pre season runs say that there's Bash, and then there's everyone else fighting for second place.

Agree 100% on your first paragraph. Reciprocal to your second paragraph and I can remember back to the 1952-53 Div. 2 winners. Lets hope there's no more stop start success for many a year, UTB.

That moment in the second half where Grealish was trying to burst in goal and George caught up with him and snuffed out the threat was delicious. Even more so given that the attack came down our left side, so he was covering for Stevens and O'Connell. Unsurprising Grealish then moaned at the referee and tried to claim a throw in when the ball clearly hit him last.
