A very small sample size but, since the debacle against Shrewsbury we've gone four games undefeated. They are Barnsley (A) - Draw, Oldham (H) FA Cup - Won, Coventry (H) - Won and Scunthorpe (A) - Won.

Eight of the starting eleven have been present in all four games - Basham, Brayford, Collins, Coutts, Done, Hammond, Long and McEveley. Edgar has started all three League games. Sharp has played in all four (one as sub.) and Woolford has played in all 3 league games (one as sub.)

So it's obvious that NA is getting his preferred eleven together. Obviously it's a pisser that our two most creative players - Baxter and Adams - have missed almost the entirety of this 'mini-revival' (Adams only figured in the Cup game) due to indiscretions and Reed, Scougall, Kieran Wallace and Flynn can't put a run of appearances together (often due to injury).

While some/most of us will despair that he's placing utter faith in the likes of Collins, Coutts, McEveley etc. the results are there to see. The start of this run coincided with Brayford's return.

It'll be interesting if this run extends into January when NA might well think that no further additions are needed...

More a case of: It'll be interesting if this run extends into January when KMcC might well insist that no further additions are needed...

The game against Wigan on Boxing Day will be massive. With a result there we can potentially get back into the Play Off places we'll then have two big home games at the Lane to follow.

I would say keep K Wallace in the team and get someone with pace playing on the left wing then we will look a more decent outfit. Another centre back is still a must as Collins is a mistake waiting to happen.

I wonder if Clough wants Alcock and Higdon?
