To me it looks like that he is another "homesick" Scot. It happened to Cameron Evans who was with us for only a few days in 1968-69. Jim Bone and Peter Hetherston wanted to go back to north of border too

Various people on Twitter pointed out that since FC Halifax are part-time, he can probably pop back to us when they are not training.

As far as Murphy is concerned, despite how poor we've been this season, it's hard to think of a player who has contributed less when they have played.

What's happened to Jamie Murphy?!

Since he's come to Sheffield he's found that football is too much like hard work and he's loafed around pinching a wage.

His fall from "great white hope" to Ryan Flynn's boot boy makes Brian "Fordy II" Howard's demise look almost regal by comparison.

I am surprised with Murphy because i think he has got talent and looks a good player in patches,but he is massively under achieving for some reason,and he needs to improve drastically before he ends up at Raith Rovers or Stenhousemuir or somewhere like that!

He is in a division where the opposition track you down and put tackles in. Check most of the Youtube videos of him playing in Scotland and most of the defenders he "magically" drifts around are generally non-existent.

Easy to look good when you're up against a team of mannequins

He might be ok in the Youf league but he needs to tek 'is tampon out and get on the fecking weights to bulk up for mens football.

Seen nothing of him to suggest he would be a good striker rather than a winger - He'd nesh it more if he was up front.

After his promising debut v Oxford I was hoping for much more from this lad. Sometimes players just don't settle when at a new club.
