Am I the only one who's totally underwhelmed by this Mr.Socko nonsense? Billy should be concentrating on tonight's match rather than giving free publicity to this guy. I doubt if CW is happy about it.
Agree, he could have done so much more productive stuff with that second it took to take the picture. I’d drop him

You got this one?

Came across as a good speaker in his brief half-time cameo albeit with a few smiles around me from his pronunciation of Premier and Norwich. Always nice to see us get some publicity for the right reasons and this has happened a lot more organically than the Jess Ennis stand where we shamelessly tried to jump on the 2012 PR bandwagon.

Say what you want about the campy silliness of the WWE but he was a fantastic entertainer and one of the best stuntmen you'd ever see. Put his body on the line for something he loved and any Blade should appreciate that. He's a decent writer too.

I thought the same but sometimes I prefer to keep my negativity to myself.

The same as in your fed up of the Mr Socko nonsense? Or do you also subscribe to his theory that Billy should be concentrating on football or that Wilder's probabaly displeased as well?

Not bothered about Mr Socko, we’ve got young supporters who probably love that kind of thing. I do think he should have been more focussed on last night’s game. I try not to second guess CW and have no idea if he and Billy discussed it beforehand and Wilder was fine with it. I wouldn’t have been but I’ll freely admit I’m not a great man manager.

Ultimately when called upon Sharp did a captain’s job so I don’t want this to become a ‘big thing’ where there’s three threads with posters speculating and arguing and accusing each other of having agendas.

I think it's probable that Billy wasn't going to get on last night until he spoke to Chris about Mick Foley being there, so Chris agreed to give him a run out, just for his buddy.....

I don't get this idea he was less focused on the game because he took some time to do some PR work. Did he skip training or something?

I don’t know and you know full well I don’t. I do know he had Foley round his house, tweeting about it etc and, in my opinion, it’s not the best way to prepare for a big game.

And as I’ve already made clear, Wilder may not have a problem with it and I’m not going to tell him how to do his job.

That is the S24SU way, don't fight it.
I’m actually losing interest in posting tbh, when you start getting shithoused by decent posters it’s probably time to pack it in.

Yeah mate, you are the only one.

Lighten up ;)

I don't do light. It's not in my nature.
However, having watched the interview with Billy, my heart is now full of peace and love.
(Maybe he can get his teeth fixed whilst he's over here. Sheffield has a very good Dental School)

I think this whole thing has been great, got us some decent publicity. I'd have loved to have been there tonight but £40 a ticket is too much.

Just got in from the show; really fun night. Billy was there; Mick got him up on stage to talk about how the whole Socko celebration thing came together- funny cameo from the lad who caught the sock at Carrow Road, only for Billy to point out it had been stuffed in his pants the whole game.

Also saw Simon Moore there and I think (was a distance so might be wrong) Richard Stearman. Foley and his co host starting off with jokes about Wednesday being the worst day of the week went down well, unsurprisingly.

Had photos and met Mick afterwards, was really freindly and appreciative of how its all gone down. Good publicity and a great night for those who wanted to go. And hey- it hasnt derailed the promotion push either!!!!

Win/win all round.

Sounds good, would liked to have gone but the prices were too much for my liking. Did Foley tell any old WWF/E stories?

If we lose against Leeds, Foley’s getting the blame.
