He said from the off that if serious offers came in for players that the club would have to consider them which to me confirms this. He was probably also made aware off the wage bill and the limitations when signing players unless players left etc.

This might have scared off other candidates eg McCall, however Weir accepted the challenge and wanted to start his managerial career with a ridiculously tough job so fair play to him.

One again he's speaking sense and outlining where we need to improve things. Whether the board loosen the strings and allow it to happen as The Star are suggesting they are willing to is another story.

A long time ago in a Premier League now far, far away, we actually looked like we might survive. Just for a bit, but we weren't what you might call shit, not by a long way.

I'd hate to be back in the Premier League now, I much prefer to be in this shitty league with a shitty team and a half-full ground.
