Mousset was all stripped, stood at the pitch side all set to come on, but then didn’t?

I wondered why the change of heart as there was no injury or incident on the pitch that could have made it a last minute tactical decision. I didn’t see anything but my lad reckoned it looked like two or three were leading him back toward the dugout? Mind you, it wouldn’t be the first time he’s got the wrong end of the stick.

Just wondered if anyone else closer, noticed anything unusual regarding the obvious sudden change of heart?

Very strange that one all I can think Wilder thought McBurnie was injured. To be fair he looks like he's agony all the time.

Enda going off left us a sub down. He decided to bring on McGoldrick (instead of Moose, presumably to create summat with all of their men behind the ball) which left us with 1 sub.

I'd guess he was waiting to see how on top we got; whether to put Lunny on for Berge to inject some impetus, or chuck another striker on. He went with Lunny so no room for Moose.

If Berge wasn't still settling in, if Enda hadn't got injured, I'm sure he'd have got on

I think there were 2 reasons:

1) When Billy saw him stripped off he had his best spell of the match.

2) I think Wilder thought that they’d retreated that much that there was no space in behind so McGoldrick was more likely to bring about a goal than Mousset.

I think we were crying out for a bit of pace against their back line but I think Wilder has made enough correct decisions to trust his over mine.

Billy was coming off, but then absolutely bossed it for a five or so minute period and looked like we were about to create something, so he left it as it was.

Then I assume McGoldrick came on because we were having a load of possession and perhaps didn't need to run in behind, opting to build a chance with McGoldrick's passing and use of the ball, didn't work but a sound idea in principle.

number 2. Brighton had a spell of pushing forward and it was end to end but then Billy won a free kick and then a corner and we pushed them back.

Disagree.....and you don’t know Wilder...he always goes to win.........Mousetts main asset is using his pace.
In the later stages of the game we were in top. Brighton were sat back defending....therefore no space for Mousset to run into.

We needed a Duffy/ McGoldrick type to thread a pass through the eye of the needle.
When he came on McGoldrick showed signs of the quality we needed.
