Random Stats Question:

Which team or teams have we played the most in the League over, say, the last 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, etc?

(Is there any relatively quick way of finding this out. I tried 11v11, it looks like all the info is on there but not in any readily usable format.)

Of the last 5 years we spent three in the Championship and two in the Premier League so you're looking at West Brom I think (same division for 4 seasons)

Last 10: 4 L1, 4 Champ, 2 PL. I'd guess it is going to be someone who was in L1 then the Championship. Preston or Bristol City maybe?

Last 20: 6 L1, 11 Championship, 3 Premier League. I'd probably go with Preston again. Maybe Charlton.

I think I've seen us play Preston more than anybody else. We're usually in the same division, plus some cup ties and the play-off semi final a while back.

Also, I was drawn to the win % column. Wimbledon had a hoodoo over us (in my mind they always did us over). Didn't expect to see those Huddersfield numbers. And then Man City and Villa...away from home, urgh.

Every team United have played at least 10 times in the league has beaten us at least once. We have beaten every team we've played at least 10 times once

The only team to beat United more times at home than we have beat them (minimum 5 seasons in the same league) is Huddersfield

We have beaten the following teams away from home more times than we have lost (minimum 5 seasons in the same league) - Grimsby Town, Hull City, Port Vale, Rotherham United, Bournemouth , Peterborough United, Notts County, Tranmere Rovers, Rochdale, Wigan Athletic, Bristol City, Barnsley, Crewe Alexandra, Colchester United, Exeter City

Yeah, Huddersfield have done us an embarrassing number of times. We even made hard work of beating them this season, and they're shit.

In my lifetime, Birmingham City have been another bogey team.

In our last home fixture against the old Wimbledon F.C, they brought a grand total of 62 away fans.

That wasn't even their lowest turnout either. They took 27 to Grimsby that year.
