If we have recently had a defensive problem...and he didn't play....will he ever?

For a while now I had conceded that we probably won't see him playing again, but I'm sure I read in the last program that he had played with the reserves and is hoping to be match fit for April. Does this ring any bells with anyone?

It does with me mate yes. Although I cant see him playing unless we are already promoted towards the end of the season. Why would you break Collins and Maguire up?

He's had a number of set backs in his rehab and has taken a lot longer than planned to come back because of the swelling around the knee. Every time he gets this its a set back and I think he either had a small op to correct this or he had it drained.

Either way it takes a long time to recover from cruciate ligament surgery because it is so complex. The first thing is that the cruciate Operation is successful after that it is pretty much about ensuring that there is enough ‘play’ in the knee itself, but really the rest is about slowly building the muscles up again to a level to prevent reoccurrence.

Considering that Andy Taylor is just back playing in the 1st team after 14 months and he has the benefit of a few years on Morgs, it’s no surprise that Morgs isn’t back yet.

Modern surgery means that your career is not over when you get an injury like this, so let’s wait and see

I’ve actually had this done twice on the same knee (I think I’ve mentioned this a few times). They used the Hamstring tendon first time then second time used the Quadricep tendon.

I only had a repair done on mine, rather than total reconstruction, and that took a full year beofre I played again.
