Morgan the new boss!!

Pig haters will be happy now . Really hope morgs managers to pull it off and get us up . But if he does'nt will some on here have the balls to give him lackery at the game . Can' t wait to see who'll boo first as he could have a chat in the stand with you .UTB now lets get it on .
 
New member (mainly testing my first post). Bad timing re Danny but Morgs looked nailed on for the job short term and hopefully will give us the new manager bounce that some appointments get. As already posted makes it easier to judge him at the end of the season. For now here's hoping a bit of blood and thunder may do the job!

If giving it some passion is all it takes then we will get over tye line with morgs. My fear is that we might actually need to play some football to get over the line. Those of you talking about passion should perhaps realise that it went out of football some years ago. 1992 or there abouts. Raising hell in the dressing room makes fuck all difference if no one is listening. Ipods on switched off from everything and getting paid no matter how shit they play
I for one am a bit concerned. In the credit column he knows the players and he isnt that fuckstain Warnock.

Only justification i can give if there has been a player revolt, and i mean a serious player revolt.

I'll back Morgan to the hilt, just like i did with Wilson. But it seems a panicked and uncoordinated decision and response to me.

Oh, they will be listening. Whether they can execute anything better than they are doing at the moment is questionable. I think we'll see a higher tempo. Our pedestrian build up at the moment is easily sussed by the opposition which is one of the reasons why 2 out of 3 sides this season go away from the Lane with points

I suspect that low renewal of STs has got a lot to do with this. Only a week to deadline day. I'd be very interested to know how many have been sold/renewed at the moment. I certainly haven't, so there's three for a start.

Bang on Dublin. Morgs was the obvious choice for just 5 games. I might panic if he gets the job "full time" but I'll worry about that then. Otherwise, he gonna kick some butt which in the very short term, is probably the only real difference he could ever wish to make.

Roll on Sat, gonna be a far different atmosphere than the last several home games and lets show Morgs he ain't the only one with passion for our beloved Club. Swindon won't know what's hit 'em (I hope)...

Morgs has always struck me as quite an intelligent and balanced guy off the pitch, as a player he played to his strengths and knew his limitations. Whilst I'm sure he'll not suffer any fools - what we saw on the pitch could be a long way off his footballing ideologies.
 
Can't understand this one, I don't buy the arguement that Danny couldn't motivate the players so Morgan must be the answer. If Morgan ain't been motivating them as a coach I'm not sure what more he's going to do as manager. We might see a slight pick up via new manager syndrome but promoting from within rarely works. This decision has really pissed me off, thank you Danny, you did your best !
 
It might work over a few games but this passion thing is massively over-simplistic isn't it?

Mowbray was a Morgan-type leader on the pitch, his Boro side aren't exactly exuding passion right now, are they?

Passion will get thrown back at him when we're losing and he's doing his nut on the touchline, I can almost hear the cries of "he hasn't a bloody clue" already. All overrated , we had Robson and he was rather calm but we wanted passion, up steps Kevin Blackwell and at first after the initial up turn he was relatively popular but when it goes wrong we replace him with the calm Gary speed, I know he jacked it in but it wasn't exactly plain sailing before he left. Point is its a vicious circle and its getting us nowhere but we never learn

Appointing Morgan as caretaker manager makes cense, we need to take stock and not just appoint the first available manager. If that appointment doesn't happen until the close season so be it, we have to get it right. For now lets give Morgan our support, he may well be a breath of fresh air

I was going to do it this week. Now I'll have a think about it.
 



It'll be very interesting to see who he gets into his team. Unsworth and Craig Short perhaps?

My hope is that given his familiarity with the U21 side he might at the very least be willing to drop some of the perennial under performers and stick in some of the youngsters.

Then again, we could be seeing Williams make an imminent return to the XI...
