Get ready for more sickening excuses from Blackwell after another lame defeat.

Give over still win, that would cement a playoff place and we don't want that.

Its ok Walker can fill in at Centre half.... oh wait a minute....

Let's not jump the gun. He's gones off injured but as yet we have no confirmation of the problem.

Granted it doesn't look good, bet can we please try and hold off the doom and gloom.

SSN reporting he's out for 6 to 8 weeks.

Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell is waiting to discover the extent of a rib injury suffered by Chris Morgan but fears he may have no choice but to venture back into the loan market.

Morgan was forced off before half-time in Tuesday's 3-0 defeat to Watford and is a major doubt for the clash with Derby this weekend.

It remains to be seen how long the defender might be out for but Blackwell is not too optimistic about his chances of a swift recovery.

Having already lost Kyle Walker to Tottenham before the transfer deadline, Blackwell may now be forced to look for reinforcements when the loan window reopens.

"Morgs looks like he's popped it or broken it," he told the Sheffield Star.

"To be honest he's the last person I need to lose at the moment.

"We'll have to see how he is before deciding whether we'll have to try and bring someone else in again."

Walker had been on a season-long loan at Bramall Lane but Spurs exercised their right to recall him and Blackwell admits the Blades were completely powerless.

He explained: "There was nothing we could do about it. Spurs were perfectly within their rights to do what they did.

"We only found out with 15 minutes to go that the paperwork was being lodged so there was no time to try and do some business elsewhere.

"I hadn't expected Kyle to go back so it came as a surprise.

"But football, unfortunately, is full of surprises."

However, take this with a pinch of salt, no more info than on the OS, simply stating that if the Cresswell was any guide to recovery time it COULD be 6-8 weeks

I thought we found out with 50 minutes to go. BS!

What's happened to Morgan?
There was a time he'd have got the physio to remove the offending rib at pitchside, coughed up a damaged lung, passed it to a ball boy to give it a quick buff up with the ball drying towel and got his arse on the pitch.
He is obviously another one who doesn't want to play for Blackwell.

I was gutted when I found out Morgs had gone off injured. Some players you don't know if its a chipped finger nail or maybe the hair straighteners have been playing up, but if Morgan has to leave the pitch it suggests body parts have been lost or bones shattered.

However, I'm presuming the potential 6-8 weeks is "mortal" time and the skipper will be playing Saturday.

6-8 weeks Id wager its half of that at most.

Although we certainly need to go and borrow someone again!

When is Seip due back?

Blackwell said it was a torn hamstring, and he should be out for around six weeks. That was at Bolton on 23rd January, so going by that timescale he should hopefully be back around the start of March.

What are you all worried about. With na backiline of Geary, Nosworthy, Fortune and Taylor/Stewart what have we got to worry about???? Rock solid!?
