Morgan Gibbs White is the best player I’ve ever seen wearing a United shirt.

For the older Blades, how does he compare to the likes of Curry and Woody?

Big statement and everyone is entitled to their opinion. But in reality he’s not the best in the last 30 years by a long way.

He is quality tho and we are lucky to have him. But the best ever? I don’t think so. Maybe a bit ‘result pissed’ ?

He’s good, but he’s not within a million miles of Currie and Woodward. He may well become that good, but he’s not there yet. And if he does become that good it won’t be for us, unfortunately. I think he will be playing for Wolves next season.

Currie , Brownie , Woodward , Sabella

That's simply not true. 25% of games nothing comes off for him. As Carlton says, he always puts a shift in but he's a young lad still learning. Consistency comes with experience.

It depends how you define "nothing comes off for him." I don't think I've ever seen a game where he's not created a goalscoring opportunity either for a teammate or himself.

Maybe we see games differently, but I think he's consistently our best player.

There are games when we need him to just hold the ball and he just continues to try tricks and flicks when they're not coming off. It's something he needs to learn. When he's playing well, he is the best player on the pitch. Easily the best player this season.

I don’t give 9s that often.

Comfy 9 for MGW tonight.

Would have been 10 if he’d have slotted that one in 1st half and slipped Bill through when he should have in 2nd.

A joy to watch and he terrorised their defence all night and linked brilliantly with Sharp who have forged quite an understanding.

Fair. I's a certainty that he's the best loan player we've ever had! The thing that impresses me most about him is how he's just bought into the club. He acts like he gives a shit, and I don't just mean off the pitch semantics. The way he plays, the absurd number of yards he puts in & the way he gets stuck into a tackle (sometimes a bit over the top) for an attacker, is fabulous to see.

He isn't just here to get some minutes. He's here because he's up for it. I like the kid.
Henderson was a pretty decent loan signing

Billy was stood offside for that break in the second half

You would have to be a young person to say that imo. Not taking anything anyway from him though, unplayable tonight, a top top talent.

Firstly, it's really hard to compare them for a variety of reasons. The game was so much slower then, and a lot of what Currie and Woody did was to read the game, adding silky touches and clever passes to create room. MGW excels at finding room in a much more crowded and energetic situation [Berge is actually more comparable to Currie with his almost nonchalant style]. Secondly, i've been following MGW since he was making subs appearances at Wolves at the age of 16 and, although he was always incredible, he's now playing so much better than he ever has, by a long, long way. That's obviously worrying for obvious reasons but it's also a reason to enjoy performances like tonight for what they are- a great all-round showing in a Blades shirt.

Best loan player?

You weren't at S6 on a soaking night in the 90s.

Altogether now....

If i could have seen Currie play on a finely manicured Desso pitch instead of the mud heaps and frost bound grounds of the 60’s and 70’s i am sure he would have been unplayable. However, players from his era were nothing like the athletes of today,a fag and a cup of tea at half time was the order of the day !! It is impossible to compare the two as the game is completely different.
