Morgan/Garner

I don't see friction. I just see Garner as the type that likes his own voice and can't help but be sarcastic all the time (or annoying). Maybe it's a defence mechanism?!

Absolutely no animosity there at all. They're best mates - and in the future, they could be one of those management duos that you often see at football clubs - Clough and Taylor for example. If only they could become that good for us in the future.

I thought the exact same. Morgan seemed to force his laughs out and Garner didn't look like he cared about anything Morgan had to say

Garner seemed like a right cunt. Jealous of Morgs legend status here and always put him down in some way. It could be banter between them but it was awkward to watch.

Astonishing comments

I had it as almost a Gervais/Pilkington set up, with Garner playing a brilliant straightman. I was in stitches, but then again I do quite like awkward humour like that - as long as it is humour, which I'm sure that was.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm hmmm.

...... Morgs . ........................... Garner .

Sorry, but I've watched the clips. It is absolutely nothing like the way you describe it. The two are clearly very happy and comfortable in each other's company. It's off beat and not meant to be taken seriously. The fact they chose to do it together speaks for itself.

You must have started off with a very jaundiced view to come to those conclusions. Or is it just silly Bladey Bladeness?

Enjoyed the videos - loads of humour and piss taking going on, but didn't get friction at all.

Personally I thought they were brilliant and they had me chuckling away to myself.

Something refreshing coming out if the club and I personally would like to see more of them. It shows that they are only human and like us all enjoy some good banter whilst they are at work.

I think it was Taylor who did one at the start of the season, very funny and I hoped for more. Makes a big change from some of the players with the same old clichéd interviews.

I was thinking afterwards that Cloughie would've been pissing himself at those two

By the way, does anyone know about Garners football career? I usually like to know a bit about coaches/managers playing career etc.

Definitely one for Silent Blade :)

Gentlemen. I haven't watched the videos to comment on friction there, but there is certainly some here.

Do I have to remind you that people are entitled to an opinion without it being dismissed with thinly veiled scorn?

To be honest, when Clough revealed his backroom staff, I was looking up in google about stats for Andy Garner as I didnt remember him. I was a part time fan for most of the 1980s as I was into playing football and playing chess for most of the decade. I did go to the Blackpool v Blades match in October 1988 and Blades v Blackpool match in February 1989 but Andy wasnt one of the Blackpool players I remembered. Here is his stats on Wiki

What, to make the comments that I found their comments astonishing?

What's "utter bollocks and completely unnecessary" about that?

I thought my comments were certainly more polite to them than yours to me
I think he was agreeing with you, BoSS. - their comments, as well as "astonishing" were also "utter bollocks" etc.

He seems to be a prominent figure. Nigel, Andy and Morgs are always stood together in the technical area exchanging words and I am glad that Morgs has been integrated and valued in their setup. Certainly an improvement on Carsley and Weir both stood doing their best statue expressions.
