Sheffield United are ready to sue the Premier League for around £40million if they are relegated as a result of West Ham being fined rather than suffer a points deduction.

Plc chairman Kevin McCabe also pledged last night that his club will support Wigan in similar action should Paul Jewell’s side lose a three-team fight against the drop.

apparently sky sports news have said that more than half the league believe stronger action should be taken against west ham and that big kev will be live later on

That's just disgraceful, it's as if the Premier League are actually HELPING West Ham out here.

Course they are, they're a London club.

i'd say take out legal action, they just trying to scare the clubs off imo

according to some reports, cant find the link, west ham are stating that they have cancelled the contract and the he is allowed to play, however kia is stating that they cannot cancel the contract without his agreement, and as yet he hasnt agreed to anything of the sort.

if you read this

http://www.premierleague.com/public/downloads/publications/PL270407final.txt

this is the independant commisions judgement, and it states in there that the contract cannot be cancelled by one party, all the parties must be in agreement.

Exactly all parties must agree to cancel the contract and do we really think Kia Joorabchian is gonna do that after he failed in his take over of West Ham. I think after he failed in that the last thing he would want is to lose Tevez. Something dodgy is going on somewhere there is no way it was done and tied up that easy.

This sounds like a load of tosh and i'm going to listen back to Radio Sheffield to confirm its not a badly made up rumour but i quote:

John Ryan (Doncaster Rovers chairman) was on football heaven tonight. Seth(presenter) asked John what he thought about the West Ham situation, Mr Ryan said he thought the whole thing was a disgrace. What really got my back up though was the following comment: Trevor Brooking was on the independent panel!!!!!! John Ryan said he found out today that Trevor was on the panel. The presenters of the show confirmed that this was true!!!!! DISGRACE

If there is a shred of truth in this, then the PL have lied as well as West Ham :)

One thing is certain we will get nothing from the Premier league we have to do it on the pitch on Sunday. It beggars belief that Brooking was on the panel that decided Wet Spams punishment    Olso isn't the chairman of the Premier league a certain well known in these parts ex piggy chairman Sir Dave Richards ? Little wonder they are doing us no favours.

Just listened back and the above was indeed said by John Ryan...

Also it is rumoured that MSI are offering him to five different clubs for £31m, you know, despite West Ham owning him 100%!

Utter disgraces if thats true.

The state of football as a whole is shocking these days.

The game is so currupt its becoming stupid.

I wonder if Dave Whelan gets given any evidence.

Last nights comments from John Ryan for anyone that's not had an opportunity to hear them:

Radio Sheffield - Just finally John, have you got any thoughts on the situation with Sheffield United and West Ham?

John Ryan - Well yeah I mean, I know, its probably well known that Neil Warnocks a friend of mine and i'm a big supporter of the local teams and Sheffield United are Yorkshires Flagfliers as it were, being the only Premier League team.
If they wen't down I think it would be an absolute blumming travesty because I understand, I don't know whether its true, but someone told me that on the independant commission, one of the people on there was Trevor Brooking.
So, I don't think thats very independant!

It would be like me being on a tribunal discussing Doncaster Rovers!

If that is the case, and that's just what i've been told...

Radio Sheffield - It is the case yeah.

John Ryan - If it is the case then I am very dissapointed with whoever appointed the independant panel. I'm not suggesting for one minute that Trevor Brooking is/isn't impartial, but you know, you smell a rat dont you.

I feel desperately sorry, because I know Dave Whelan very well as well, from Wigan.

I really hope that the scenario is, that Man U beat West Ham and I was hoping that Wigan and Sheff United could survive but I don't know whether thats possible.

You know, I just think it's wrong and the FA should try to be transparent and if they aren't transparent and people think that there is Shenanigans going on, then the whole of football is brought into a difficult position.
