Anyone know what’s happened ?

I think he also lost one of his good friends who played football in the french leagues. I think they got killed in a car accident.

From what I have read 2019 was a really bad year in his personal life.

If he’d carried on at the rate he was going before then we would have struggled to keep hold of him in the summer.

lets hope this dip in form puts richer clubs off, but that he gets back to spanking premier league defenders again now to get us over the line, and into the Champions League

Couple of deaths in the family I believe.

He's only 24 so dependant on who passed away I'm not surprised it's affected his performances.

Think some forget footballers are normal people with the same feelings and emotions as the rest of us at times.

He showed real promise earlier in the season and I'm sure if he can get his head straight he'll be a valuable asset over the next few years.

GLTTL!

It's good to hear from him about it.

I hope he's got all the support he needs here.

As long as he can have the same hunger he seemed to before there's nothing stopping him.

I think we need him back on it if we're to get in Europe.

From what I've seen he looks really happy to be with this group of lads. I'm sure they're all helping him through this hard time.
He'll be back... Probably already is he just can't get a game cos King Billy is playing out of his skin!

He needs some time, 6 months is usually the minimum for the entire grieving process to take place, we will keep him on and hopefully a summer break with pre-season will do it... if not ship him out on loan in January 2021...

I back him though, and i also back CR to come out firing if he is keen to stay.. interesting that we haven't had any solid links with strikers except for Sorloth? maybe Wilder is going to stick with the strike force?

Showed just how valuable he is as he’s very different to all our other strikers.

Reight handful on his day.

He'll get back up to speed. One of those players who excites the fans.
Allez Moose.

A really likeable kid.....glad that the scapegoat management have overlooked him....he’ll come good again.
Clear distinction to be made from players that HAVE reasonably consistently been able to maintain good / acceptable performance levels and those that, bluntly, have not !😉.

Perhaps you might get off his back a little now?

Some things are bigger than football and it goes to show that when we sit here criticising players for below par performances that it’s not always physical or football issues that they are dealing with

Hope he’s getting the help he needs. The football can wait.

100% support SwissBlade's comments. When someone is hit by depression or related themes, many previously important matters shrink by comparison.

I hope Moose recovers, but only because it will help him regain his whole self. Football can wait, but should he return to the form we were all excited by then it will confirm he's got his mojo back.

Good lad Lys, this club cares about your well-being son.

The Blades family will stick by him. I wasn’t at all concerned by Moose’s form. I did notice a slight dip but you would as he was on fire at one point. I just put it down to a natural dip in form that would soon pass.

Lad has got loads of ability and pace to burn. Next time he gets in the side I’m sure he will make an impact. I see him as a long term regular starter that has only just got going and settled into the club.

Moose, if you read the forum you’re doing great son. No one is worried and you’re a Blade so we’ll stick with you 👍

OK boss, will do.

I'm not your boss and you can do what you like.

I'm just pointing out that you've gone from questioning his work ethic, attitude and fitness to being glad to hear from him and hoping he gets the support he needs.

Part of the support he needs is from the fans, who I wish were less fickle (not just you, but in general.)

I've not stopped questioning anything.

I've supported him more than anyone. But there comes a time when you think he might need a kick up the arse more. Mainly based on the fact he's still struggling to play more than 60 minutes.

Other than his inability to play the full 90, what else haven't you stopped questioning? I seem to remember you commenting on his attitude, desire and even diet (correct me if I'm wrong) at times - I dont think there's any basis for that. Even the phrase "kick up the arse" implies a lack of motivation, rather than a lack of fitness.

There may be more that he could do on his end, but without knowing his habits, or seeing him in training, how would we know?

I think we're all aware that his fitness is a work in progress. The lack of a pre-season and lack of meaningful game time during his time at Bournemouth are often cited as the reason he can't play 90 minutes.

If he's still flagging at 60mins next year, after a proper pre season and a year of building up his game time, I'll be right behind you questioning whether or not he's doing everything he can. Until then, I think it's unfair to expect him to be fully fit, or blaming him for said fitness issues, especially if you're his biggest supporter.
