Out for up to six weeks apparently. I know some of his regular knockers will revel in this but we could do without losing anyone at minute IMO. You couldn't write this season!

"With Reading at Bramall Lane on Tuesday night the United boss will at least have some options to consider, having brought in Micky Doyle recently, whilst Johhn Ertl can play centrally and Lee Williamson is vailable afetr suspension"

Who ever wrote that must have had a late night!!!

;)

Andy Pack out!!!

That's a massive blow.

Given the crunch matches we have coming up he's one of the players I'd want in the trenches for those.

Would like to see us go 4-3-3,

Wright
Parrino--Collins--Lowry--Jordan
Willo--Doyle--Quinn
Boggy--Bent--Evans

Adams wont do that, he's a 4-4-2 man. You're more likely to see this in the coming games:-

Simonsen
Parrino, Collins, Lowry, Jordan
Yeates, Williamson, Doyle, Quinn
Evans, Bent

I think he'll stick and try to get a settled side and I wouldn't blame him for that.

I would, give Boggy a start. Even without the goal he turned the match for us on Saturay. Can't keep on rewarding people starts who are constantly crap. Although I thought Monty was better than Doyle on Saturday I am looking forward to williamson being back in the middle more than the loss of Monty

As much as Monty is needed this could change our season putting Williamson alongside Doyle
could work as having Doyle and Monty was to player that didn't compliment each other as are the same style of player.

if we can either replace Yates or some how make him start playing this could work in our favour.

I think this will be a big loss, Monty has been one of the best players on the pitch for us over recent weeks. He & Steven Quinn are the only players look up for the battle at times and show the passion. Hope I am Wrong & Doyle (Who admittedly looked better on Sat) and Willo can form a partnership to keep us up.

I liked what Adams did on Saturday. Play 11 players in their strongest position, no strikers out wide or central midfielder's as wingers. Stick to a 4-4-2 with players playing where they are comfterble and the points will come. Evans & Boggy up front on Tues.

Nobody's mentioned this, I believe, but Adams in his pre-match comments stated (with obvious contempt) that Williamsons' second yellow at Ipswich had been given "for

running aggressively at a referee" !

I certainly don't revel in it. I wish Monty a speedy recovery. I believe he should be left out on merit, not as a result of injury.

I hope some of you will forgive poor play by Willo and Doyle as readily as you do those of Monty. I doubt it

Let's be clear about one thing: We were well on our way to relegation with Monty in the team. Let's not have any 'We miss Monty badly' or 'This is a massive blow' nonsense.

I think it will be good to see the team without Monty, we'll have a bit more balance in midfield and Doyle might perform better without a clone next to him. Hope we start with Yeates and Quinn on the wings with Doyle and willo in midfield.

Quite like Monty but I think if him, Doyle and Willo are available, then Willo ends up wide right. To me this is an absolute waste of a player like Willo who can really influence a game in the centre. And yes I agree a Willo-Doyle or even a Willo-Monty combination in the middle would compliment each other more than a Monty-Doyle pairing.

If all three were available I'd go Doyle over Monty as he's better with the verbals and we've been lacking good talkers in the team all season. Since Morgan has been injured they've played like 11 individuals with no one pulling them together as a team. It loooked like Doyle and Collins were definitely getting into the rest of the team against Millwall, about time too.

Blessign in disguise .... other than we might not be abkle to ship him out to Leeds on loan and get rid of Ploddy permanently.

Be interesting to see how Doyle and Williamson do in the centre of the park tonight. On paper they should complement each other. Let's hope they can strike up a decent partnership.

Monty been one of the best players!!!! You have got to be having a giraffe mate. Either that or try specsavers. He's a lot of the reason the midfield is so unproductive. Can,t pick a pass, can,t run with the ball, not particularly good in the air, poor first touch, and you'l need a calendar to tally up his goals instead of a calculator. Yes he's brave, granted, but we'd be far far better off with a footballer than a soldier.
