Out of interest what exactly is a "big pile of Bollocks"![]()
Good point, in fact I'd probably rest him for that one and save him for some more taxing opposition.
Williamson's had an awful lot of rest this season and is about to have some more.
I'd guess he's played about 10 or 12 games?
Linked with clubs currently in the premiership, surely not?! I was mocked for saying so before.
He has the same agent as Matt Killgallon by the way![]()
"Linked" is usually as far as it gets. We shall see though.
It's been a little further, but something usually scuppers a deal.
The fact that the "purchasing" club usually ends the negotiations with "ha ha ha, only kidding"?
Keenzy where are you?
My thoughts entirely.
United have obviously offered him a contract worth tuppence every 6 months as part of the reprofiling. Cue Monty saying "get lost" and his agent releasing the news to the press with an intimation that he is leaving. Monty/the agent then counts on fans' uproar leading to pressure on the club leading to an improved offer which Monty than accepts.
I think that a much more likely scenario than him actually leaving.
Maybe it is a scaled down version of what is happening at Anfield with Carragher.
I think the likes of Monty et al will have to accept that if they want to remain they'll probably have to take some sort of deduction in wages but I hope players like Monty & Morgan aren't being taken advantage of by the club in the hope that they'll accept overly low wages due to their loyalty.
.
How sad...............not the news that the Useless One may actually piss off at last, but so very sad that there's a mass tear letting by some of you. FFS let's be honest, the so called footballer we're talking about here is no better now than he was when he was a talentless workhorse at 17 years old. (Hmm, sounded a bit like Wearside Jack there) Only difference now is that he's a bit bulkier and maybe a bit fitter, other than that he's still the headless chicken who'll run all day but who still can't control a football. If you're all going to be upset over losing him and his like then the club has no future, you're all guilty of lowering your aspirations so much that you want a team full of poor tacklers, a team full of aimless runners, and a team full of nothing but footballing retards.
Hope this isn't another false dawn, hope him and Blackwell ship out on the same bus as that way we might get a manager in who'll play a passing game, and a player to replace him who's capable of passing a football whether he's a 15 year old trialist or a 55 year old has been, he can't be any worse.
All the bollocks about him not leaving before because he'd broken his little pinkie? Laugh my tits off at that one. If he was that sought after they'd have come back in for him, they didn't, what a lucky escape they had. No one's been serious about buying him the whole time he's played for us, thus his so called loyalty. It's easy to be loyal when there's only one set of mugs who'll employ you
Let's hope he does go, and let's hope he goes to one of the 3 giants mentioned, I think it's fair to say that none of those clubs are known for their footballing prowess, and none of them are exactly setting the football world alight so no "bon voyage" from me, just a good riddance to bad rubbish. Let's hope for once the rumours are true because there's very few things that I truly detest, but I've detested every single second I've spent watching you.
Apps, if this is a joke I'll find you and hurt you, Jim knows where you live
:gallop:
I take it in the recent Monty poll you were in the 12.24% Minority who voted we should sell him ?
An aside to the Monty thing,in that poll 79.75% said keep him 8.02% said use him as a sub and 12.24% said sell him. Now I am a little tipsy I admit :drunk: but doesn't the total for the poll add up to 100.01% ?
Big Mart will be happy, but I'd view Monty as a big loss, and as said above I think it's a huge sign of what's happened to morale and team spirit if someone that's always seemed happy at the Lane, and suggested he doesn't want to go anywhere else, is deciding not to extend his contract.
If we seriously look at losing monty in the current situation I'm absolutely gutted. One of the only players left at the club that I genuinely feel gives their all every game whether it's good enough or not.
We're not "looking at losing Monty". We can't meet his wage demands. I don't understand how people can criticise the club so heavily for not meeting his demands, when they've absolutely no idea what those demands are.
How much should we pay him? £1M per year? £2M?

And by the way, we're already £50M in debt.
