1st win, 1st goals, 1st clean sheet, 1st away win. It's got to be a good start to the season

Can,t remember the last time we won on the opening day of a season. I think it was aganist liecester at home 4-2 the season we got promoted to the Prem.

In anybodys language that was a great start to the season, been better had the pigs lost but you can't be greedy I suppose.

Perhaps the knuckle-draggers will get off DW's back, too.

No need for that cheap shot. What happens if the Blades lose their next 3, will the "knuckledraggers" be allowed a good moan then?

As above, great start to the campaign, no need to start point scoring off each other just yet :D

I will never forgive the so-called 'Blades' for their ridiculous car park demo when Wilson was appointed.

His former Wednesday connections are irrelevant. The whole thing was embarrassing and did great harm to the image of Sheffield United. The disgraceful scenes were shown on TV again on Saturday. They will continue to harm this club for years. At the time I asked myself - if this was typical of our fans - whether I wanted to continue supporting the Blades after 63 years.

Cheap shot - or an inconvenient truth?

[P.S. 'Knuckledragger' is not a term I would normally use about a fellow human being. I was using it in response to the title of this thread: 'Monkeys off our back'.]

Nope it is a cheap shot and the club was silly to think the fans would not utter a word when he was appointed.

The car park demo just highlighted how annoyed some people were about the appointment and even more fans voiced their concerns on here, Rad Sheff etc but I suppose they are knuckledraggers as well then.

Even more knuckledraggers were out to get rid of Robson but I bet you didn't oppose that car park demo.

Whether you think carpark demonstrations are ever justified or not, I don't think it is fair to compare the Robson demonstration to the Wilson demonstration.

Robson had been in post for over half a season, performances were poor and a very expensive side was slipping gradually, but steadily towards the relegation positions. Wilson hadn't even had a chance to speak let alone pick a side before the protestors were out.

Depends though some thought the Robson demo was an embarrassment.

I'm 100% with you on this Broomhill.

But whether or not anyone thinks a carpark protest is ever justified, there were substantially more grounds for demonstrating against Robson than against Wilson. So even if broomhillblade did agree with the Robson demonstration (I don't know whether he did or didn't) that would not be inconsistent with opposing the Wilson demonstration.

I've never agreed with any car park demonstration.

There are other, more civilised, ways to handle such matters.

4-1 pal ;)

I don't even recall the last time we won the first game of the season (when we played away)
