Money in vs Money out

Ha ha, you are persistent. You don't know just as I don't so don't act like you do.

I'd be extremely surprised given it would have gone to a tribunal.

Just pointing out that the fee is reported as £300k. Simple.

You might be wrong to presume I don't know some of the stuff too...

Lol, one article in the shit rag from James Shield then. Treeton Blade who to my knowledge has never been wrong, says it was £150k, I'm way more likely to believe him than I am Shield. Also the fact that it would have gone to a tribunal means that it's very unlikely it was £300k.

Clockwork.

Ah right, so, 'Barney believes...' is more accurate than 'Reporter for local newspaper believes...'.

Got ya.

Godawful? Clough? Adkins? They weren't great for us but have proven they're not Godawful. Backing a manager isn't allowing him to spend big in the JTW then sacking him because we lost in the playoffs. It's just stupidity. KM said 'think Liverpool' when he wanted to use the Liverpool model of building slowly to get the results Chelsea got under Mourinho.

Ask any professional manager in the game what's wrong with us and they'll tell you it's not down to the managers. We have no plan, no direction, no consistency in anything we do.
Nail on head - well & truly, knee jerk reactions when things go wrong, emotionally fueled decision making, constant & consistent changes in direction & strategy, boom & bust approach to investment & then the resultant fire sale & cost cutting.

I could go on......

Until this changes, nothing changes.

I hope you're going to give me the option of backing out and cutting my losses in this hypothetical scenario, at all the times McCabe had the chance to do so.

A good investor knows when to invest in a good business. A great investor knows when to get the hell out of a failing one.

A bit like "attack wins you games, defence wins you championships."

When has McCabe had the chance to cut his losses? Do you mean by going into admin?

Which is why we are nicely mired in League 1.
Our owners that are trying to balance the books ,they say they will invest when we get to the Championship.
We don't have a wendy type owner so promotion is going to take some time, unless of course McCabe's luck changes.

If the Board continue with their "master plan" which involves relying on luck for us to get promoted, then I think that I can fairly confidently predict that we will rot in our self-imposed exile in L1 for a considerably longer period of time.

ALL the luck in this City is over at S6, that's for certain, so don't bank on it at BDTBL Kev !! o_O

new plan required methinks .........

UTB & FTP

going for it , financially holds no guarantees of working
the measured approach weve taken has just as much chance if we can get the spirit in the team
we went for it in season one and lost out twice 90 points wasnt enough and a 26 penalty shoot out or something like that

money for transfers never arrives within 5 working days
we will have money in the bank for January

By the time we get to January, the top two will be 20+ points ahead of us and it will be too late, as usual, to compete.

We should have changed the pattern of our recent demise and ensured that we had a competitive squad to start the season at Bolton, but we chose to go with the tried and tested plan at BDTBL which hasn't worked many times before .......

Its the blades way o_O

how do you know
are there teams good enough to be 20 points ahead

bolton certainly didnt look 20 points better than us
and we were well short of players when we played
their charge got hung up at charlton

so far weve had one really bad display , due to 3 individual errors
and narrowly lost to a mad handball at one of the other top 2

we arent that far off
we deserved a draw at millwall

Both teams were short of players at the time of that game .On paper Bolton did some good recruiting before the window closed. They look a good promotion candidate if only on paper just have to wait and see.
