So we missed chances ?
So fucking what ? The side is 7th in the premier League ,talk about glass half empty

This is what I'm saying Chris isn't a fool he knows our limitations and is going to play according to the players he as here at present........ And it isn't going to change so either embrace it or go and watch some other team....... Because this teams doing better than anyone could have Dreamed of

I'm shocked that there are actually people out there who don't understand that what McGoldrick brings, outweighs what he doesn't. That chance today wasn't even that easy, the ball fell behind him.

Robinson on the other hand, I really cannot see what he's bringing. Another poor showing. We looked far better as soon as he came off. A recurring theme.

McGoldrick seems to have something against using his left foot. His effort today was similar to the one he missed against palace. He waved the outside of his right foot at it getting a poor connection when it seemed to be crying out for him to hit it with his left.

If his previous injuries were caused by the amount of driving between Nottingham & Ipswich his left would have been horribly overused on that trip, wouldn’t have had a chance to use his right much at all. Maybe that’s the problem. Wear & tear from the A14.

Nobody is slagging anyone off
Another away game we avoid defeat

Why are we just looking for faults

I'm sure West hams missed some chances
We are doing fine and every game the confidence will grow
But please feel free just to slag us off and
expect miracles in our first season back after 12 years
No one is slagging anyone off. Just opinions of how we could/should be turning 1 point into 3.
Our big roll of the dice to enable this has stuttered, we are bound to be debating how to put this right.

To do that we are going to have to go out and pay 40-50million on someone

Our £20million players doesn't seem to be the one

Why Mouse didn't start

More from Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder on goalscorer Lys Mousset: "We have got to get him up to speed. We have got to work on his condition. After scoring the winner against Arsenal on Monday he should have been a shoe-in to start today, but we felt he needed a couple more days to recover, so kept him on the bench.
"He has showed us his talent in glimpses, but he can certainly be a threat in this division."

He's going to be one hell of a player when he's fit!
Great finish today. UTB.

Can I just remind all you glass half empty supporters, that West Ham had a £40 striker Sebastien Haller playing for them, did he play better, have more scoring opportunities, create more chances than Didsy? I think not
May I also remind you he started slowly last season but I don’t think we would have been promoted without his contributions

That's only 40 quid more than Didsy.

I don't doubt for a minute that Robinson will come good one day, but like Lunny it's going to take time, I would like to see Freeman given a chance in there for the time being.

It's a twat of a road tbf

I totally agree with this. Robinson has boiled my piss in every game he’s played so far - except the 2nd half against Chelsea where he was genuinely excellent.
The rest of the time he’s been weak, slow, indecisive, crap at passing and had all the penetration of a drill from poundland.

BUT I reckon he’ll come good eventually. I just hope Wilder brings it out of him the same way he did with Lunny.
By dropping him for almost an entire season till he gets better.

McGoldrick is vital when we don't have a 10. He's the link.

We should always have one of McGoldrick or, I think, Freeman on in the front 2 if McG is injured/unavailable.

He should also never play with Robinson based on that, but we're picking up points while we're learning so it's all good.

Yes absolutely spot on. If you accept the narrative that the goalkeeper got a fingertip to the Robinson chance and deflect it slightly, then by far the best chance in the game to be wasted was the Felipe Anderson one where he blasted it straight at Hendo.

Anderson cost West Ham £36mil

The chance Baldock had after Lundstram's back heel showed the difference between our finishers and Sharp/Mousset. Championship shooting and Premier League shooting.

When the ball came in Baldock had all day to readjust his position and balance and strike it first time. All he had to do was hit it with power cleanly and hope the keeper didn't get a touch, as no defenders were anywhere near. Instead he waited, brought it down with an unnecessary touch and by the time he struck it the keeper was positioned ready and the defence had dropped back to block.

If that was Mousset or Sharp they'd have volleyed it first time. Even Mousset's goal today and the one at Everton I'd have bet other players would have taken an extra touch before scoring and they wouldn't have scored. Only Sharp and Mousset seem to have that extra bit of quality or confidence to go for it early.

I'm not knocking Baldock but we can't squander golden chances like these by taking too long to shoot. The Premier League doesn't afford you the time to delay.

Ok, let’s just take a step back.

mcgoldric missing chances, chances that we didn’t create without mcgoldric ?

Weather you like it or not, without mcgoldric we don’t create as many chances - wheather we score or not, without him we create much less - score or not, he’s gotta stay in the team...
If McGoldrick missed as many chance as you’ve missed the letter K, he’d be in league one now.

I'd never heard of him until today. His price tag only reflects upon the profligacy of teams like West Ham and has no relevance to the talent of the player himself. In other words he's a waste of money and is fucking shite, there's no comparison to be made.

Exactly. Let's cheer the lads on, they're in our budget, they've bought Wilder's plan, they're not flash Harry"s, they play as a team, and if we stay up this season, we can buy better players. Mesut Özil on the bench at £350,000 a week.. how many chances did he put away on Monday?

I don't doubt for a minute that Robinson will come good one day, but like Lunny it's going to take time, I would like to see Freeman given a chance in there for the time being.
Freeman in instead of Didzy in front of the flat 3 as a CAM behind Mousset is what I want to see.

Just back from London & the game & our photos of the match are completely blurred.

If anybody has a good photo could they please post it on the forum as we are trying to collect a photo of every ground United have played on.

He adds so much but his lack of finishing is certainly frustrating.

Shows how far we have come when we can find fault after taking 4 points from Arsenal and West Ham. I'd like to see us play Mousset and Freeman with Freeman sitting deeper

The one thing that's missing this season is a Duffy type link man we've packed an extra man in midfield and the no10 has been sacrificed for it, think we should really look at going one up top with one in behind.

Well think how we changed results Away from last prem season
Chelsea a lost. Got a point
West ham a lost got a point
Everton a lost got 3 points

Yes it is possible to improve but it's also more likely to do worse as every team we play cost 3 to 4 times what we have .... at least

The same applies to mc Burnie
Another lad who has 5 prem games under his belt. Some are writing off players when they are raw talents learning the pace of Europe's top competition.
Arsenal fans won't rubbish pepe only scoring 1 and he cost 72 m
Let's apply a bit of reality. We are a bunch of lower division players causing a stir in the prem. Don't attach unrealistic expectation we have players who should be faultless in every game

For every game on MOTD tonight there'll probably be two chances where you say "He has to score that". McGoldrick misses more than he should, but misses happen all the time.
