Millwall - must win game

It’s unlikely but not impossible when the bottom teams keep making Terminator like comebacks. Bournemouth looked doomed last weekend but twatted Brighton last night. Look at the fixtures and imagine we have a bad day against Brighton, Norwich or Bournemouth, and get mugged by one of them. I don’t think it will happen but it could, especially if we lose a couple of first team players to injury or suspension.
I doubt Wilder will let complacency set in but if he picked the reserves for Millwall I wouldn’t complain. The likelihood of us getting relegated is still greater than the likelihood of us winning the Cup.

On the plus side this helps a little
Brighton play Man C (A) and Liverpool (A)
Norwich Man C (H) and Liverpool (A)
Bournemouth Man C (H) and Liverpool (H)

Well that’s six points they won’t get. Just another 36 to worry about.

(I think we’ll stay up but I’ve been wrong before).

For me, as much as winning a trophy would be nice, finishing higher in the league gives more money and attracts better players so it’s a no-brainer.

🏆Go all out to win the FA cup, I say.
We are not going to catch Liverpool now, so lets take the next biggest domestic trophy 👍

I’m completely in two minds now, the start of the season I said fuck it the prem is to be the main focus and that’s all. But now I think because of our position it could lift the performances should we give it a go, the further we go in the cup the closer Wembley gets ( that’s how the fa cup goes ;) ) and players will up their game to make sure they’re in the first team, this will push performances for all the squad and keep everybody on their toes..

Head says out - heart says in - ohhh hokey kokey kokey kokey..

Well, let's imagine we squeeze past Millwall, get Spuds at home in the 5th and have 39 points by then.

Would this switch it up a bit?
Only 39 points? Win 2 and lose 2 league matches before the 5th round?

You forgot West Ham. Between 29th Jan and 24th Feb they have to play Liverpool twice and Man City once. Let’s see where they are after that

Or better still put a few quid on us to go down and fill your boots. Currently 150/1 with bet365. Not a dig by the way mate cus it’s all about opinions.

Stranger things have happened but I’m as certain as I can be that taking the fa cup seriously won’t run the risk of us getting relegated this season

Will Liverpool take their foot off the gas now they have more or less won the league and save their first team for their assault on the European cup ? Making it a little easier for the teams they still have to play in the league.

We need a win to restore morale and give us psychological lift after a tough 4 weeks in the league.
Then back to the league with renewed confidence, for the players and the fans. :)

Put £100, @ 66/1 on blades top 10 finish at start of season🍻🍻🍻

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn about the result at Milwall. But if we win, I'll be happy. If we lose I'll be "ok". If we draw I'll be really frustrated!

Beat Millwall first and then see what the draw brings another 2 Premier league teams will be knocked out guaranteed.

Maybe Wilder secretly wants a few first teamers crocked or suspended, just so he can test the back up players?
Plenty of threads about Besic, Freeman etc not getting game time. ;)

First time in donkeys years that we’ve had a team realistically capable of winning the FA Cup. Let’s beat Millwall and move on.
