May be a long way off but change your diaries to kick off on Sunday 14 April 2019 at 12.30 p.m. SYP have just changed Rotherhams Home game in August to a Sunday date from a 3 p.m ko on Saturday in attached article. No doubt they are concerned that the hordes from Ipswich attending the Sty on the Saturday will cause problems for them.

Millwall objected and took it to EFL where they thought they had agreed a fair compromise time and date only for SYP to take it to SAG and get the EFL compromise over ruled. SYP once again ruling football rather than the appropriate body. This doesn't happen anywhere else in the Country. Get ready for a whole host of changes this season. Time this failing body living in the past was consigned to the dustbin and policing was dealt with on a 21st Century basis in South Yorkshire.

What's the problem. The police have enough resourcesto deal with a spiffy little championship game- at or do they?
Pisses me off that they cry(and by the way it is true) that they don't have enough resources but they bow to the political needs of the government to try and demonstrate to the public that they can.
Take this Trump visit. If owt serious happened outside the capital we'd be fucked.
All police leave has been cancelled across the county and SYP have sent down van loads to the capital and they have put them up in sports halls etc. It is the same for every police force.
If there was another Manchester style terror attack - major crisis. Thed government are gambling with policing.
Cannot cope with a bleedin champ game in 2019 indeed.

SYP would have us kick off at 2am every Thursday if they could. Like they do much anyway, football interferes with their free McDonalds and arse time.

They can cope perfectly well, but they like to make out that they need more resources to cope. Which is bollocks.

SYP police like it’s the 70’s, 80’s or 90’s still but the truth is that the majority of games pass by with few issues just like most other sporting events where 20-30,000 people attend.

There are countless examples of the police doing a poor job and potentially escalating situations. But that suits SYP

Of course if you treat one or two clubs like animals they will also behave this way.

Not to say that Cardiff, millwall and Leeds are little angels. They’re not. However policing needs to address the issues and millwall don’t play every game Sunday at 12

SYP being handed complete control of all matches in South Yorkshire . If that wasn't so breathtakingly stupid it would be hilarious .

SYP, the worst Police Force in UK history . ' Justice with Courage ' ? Don't make me fucking laugh .

Oh I know they can for a poxy little c/ship game. It suits their resources to put it on at 12.
But in general... sorry this rant should be in another section.

By the 13th of April 2019 I seriously hope the kick off time against Milwall is our biggest concern.

What I don't get is for example when we played Preston last home game of the season I saw Away fans running through the South Stand having just punched someone in the face, so they're obviously not very good at stopping trouble in games where you wouldn't expect much, so what makes them think they could do anything if any major trouble starts?

If you're not going to get results, at least stop inconveniencing people while you don't get results.

They could have an extra 27 coppers on the beat if it wasn't for football you know. I can't remember the last time I saw one copper on the beat, if you want to speak to a copper call into Morrisons at Catcliffe the Asda at Moss way or best of all McDonalds on Handsworth.

This, every time I go to Morrison’s at cat life, which is generally a Saturday, then there are 4 or 5 police cars, all taking a break together, yesterday I went to Asda, the same 4 cars taking a break. Stupid

Wouldn't it be easier to just ban them.

They bring trouble where ever and as a Council Tax payer, I think I'd probably prefer my tax going on helping little old ladies in their care homes than on marshalling those scumbags

I completely agree with you and with the previous points about the shortcomings of SYP.

I've got a mate in Cardiff so when I went there last season I asked him where would be safe to drink in Cardiff centre.

His reply was "anywhere. Times have changed and you will get a warm welcome wherever you go as long as you don't behave like a dick" (he's seen me when I've had a few)

So mid afternoon BornOnShoreham and myself ventured into the city centre to eat, drink and be merry and we had a great time, so much so that we left it very late to go to the ground and ended up sharing taxis with the Cardiff fans we had been chatting with.

Not only did they share their taxis but they dropped us off as near to the away turnstiles as they could get.

It was a top away day despite us getting battered on the pitch.

I feel sorry for the police. Why the hell should they have to babysit a thousand dickheads for the day. They've enough on.

Maybe anyone criticising should volunteer to be a special constable and help out. They may then get a better perspective of just how hard their job is!

I've got a mate who supports Millwall so when I went there last season I asked him where would be safe to drink in Bermondsey. His reply was "Anywhere. Times have changed and you will get a warm welcome wherever you go as long as you don't behave like a dick"

So mid afternoon me and a mate ventured on to Bermondsey High St in our Blades shirts to eat, drink and be merry. We had a great time, for the first 10 minutes at least. Then we ended up getting the shit kicked out of us.

:)

Sure you weren't sunning yourself in sunny Benidorm?

Which "thousand dickheads" are these? Millwall? Their "Flag Day" is more for the older element and not the type of knob we have bullying kids behind the kiosks at away games.

Yes we had a great time last season at Cardiff (apart from result) met a few Cardiff lads and they took us to a few pubs after the match and bought us drinks etc - SYP should get into the 21st century instead of being the biggest cunts in football
