Automatic. Wasn’t it Birmingham that pipped us to it? Craig Beattie had a wretched game – we never looked like scoring.
Wouldn’t have mattered anyway as Birmingham won at Reading. Terrible performance though.

Thanks for that 1980, it felt as though it might have been a few more than that but I’ll take your word for it.
Wretched game, we conceded in the first minute and never looked like scoring. That’s when I realised how far down we had fallen. Salmon was a disgrace that afternoon. I was on a high after winning a few bob at Cheltenham the previous week but Adkins burst that bubble.

Any Manchester Blades fancy a pair of free tickets I can no longer make it. Need collecting though

Off at an angle here (rather than starting a new thread) - anyone see the highlights of their game against Sunderland a couple of weeks back?

Goalkeeping masterclass :D

Thanks for that Alfreton Blade. I'd forgotten what League 1 standard football was like, nice to be reminded.

It's funny isn't it, they think of themselves as this huge club.

Yet to us Millwall fans they've never brought more than 1,400 ever to The Den, not even in the top tier & we've played them very regularly in the last 17 years - yet I would guess that they think we are a small club. Even though we have played in Europe and a FA Cup Final more recently than them & have been their divisional peers for two decades!

I enjoy your posts pal. Log in on Owlstalk before you play them next. I guarantee that you'll have them in tears and calling you a liar if you start to hit them with stats!
